"We are frequent travelers to Mexico—especially the Cancun area—and stayed at Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun for our anniversary before heading to another 5-star resort. Given our great experience at Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta, we had high expectations, but unfortunately, this stay fell far short. Check-in was the highlight. Rodolfo was welcoming, professional, and upgraded us to an oceanfront top-floor room, which we appreciated. He set a great first impression. However, the rest of the experience declined quickly. The lobby and overall property feel dated. While the room had a beautiful view and good size, the bathroom was outdated—old fixtures, worn mirrors, and a small tub/shower that did not match the resort’s rating. Our in-room safe didn’t work upon arrival, and we had to wait for maintenance on our first day. Dining was disappointing. We were given incorrect information about dinner hours and missed the buffet entirely on our first night. Breakfast quality and selection were below expectations, and there was even water leaking from the ceiling with buckets placed around the dining area—unacceptable for a resort at this level. The small private beach was nice, but overall, this was one of our worst experiences in 15+ trips to Mexico. It has made us reconsider staying at Fiesta properties in the future."

"A bit rundown. Although exterior seems well maintained our room was very basic and badly needed an update especially the bathroom. Staff are mostly friendly and helpful but front desk is understaffed and can be less than friendly at times. The check-in process is overly bureaucratic and time consuming and there is a constant stream of people needing to have their magnetic-card room keys reprogrammed as they quit working after a day or two."
