"A modern hotel with a beautiful view! The hotel is tucked away from the bustle of Shinjuku nightlife so you'll get a nice rest, but not too far if you wanted to join in the fun. Staff was friendly and helpful, and our room was clean. There's a bar and restaurant on the upper floors that have an amazing view of Tokyo; I recommend visiting. The breakfast buffet that I paid separately for was delicious; they had a mix of Western and traditional Japanese breakfast cuisine so it was fun to try everything. Dining with the view was also a great easy to start the day. A small cafe is also on the first floor if you want coffee and sweets later. Thanks for having us!"

"My wife and I came to Japan on holiday staying in Tokyo and Kyoto. The Hotel Metropolitan Ikebukuro was fabulous in all respects and exceeded our expectations. All the staff we encountered were friendly, courteous and helpful. The food was of a high standard especially our meal in the Japanese restaurant - delicious and superbly presented. We enjoyed it very much. Our room was well appointed, in good condition and clean. We were quite comfortable. The location of the hotel suited us and was a few minutes from the metro train lines. Also, plenty of stores choose from. Overall, a wonderful experience and we will especially remember the welcoming and courteous staff. "

"The hotel was only a 10 min walk from the train. The hotel was very pretty. Rooms were definitely a little small but it was an enjoyable stay nonetheless. "
