cozy B7B with everything you need. Great breakfast

I really enjoyed the stay at this B&B. The owner Elizabeth was taking care of me even though the booking got messed up from hotel.com and she didn't even know that I come. It's a cozy house and out standing breakfast. Would go back there anytime.

Really Lovely

Had a wonderful stay, Elizabeth is a fantastic hostess, chef, conversationalist and all around humanitarian. Loved all the extra touches you don't get in a hotel, hot tea, organic apples, exquisite soaps, fine books and chimes from antique clocks. I would highly recommend Elizabeth's Tavern to anyone who is looking to experience an immersive "colonial feel" with all the comforts of modern day living.

Nuestra visita ha sido perfecto, quieriamos quedar para una estancia más largo. Seguramente volveremos a esta finca antigua y llena de ojetos interesantes, telas preciosas y tanta historia. La afitriona ha sido muy amable y no preparó un desayuno perfecto de ingredientes locales sanos y deliciosos.

We enjoyed Fletcher Tavern

This is the place to stay if you wish to experience a more personal B&B with a traditional Americana flare. The breakfast was a treat for this out-of-country couple. Fresh fruits in season, some from the garden. Plenty of food on the main plate and accommodation of a gluten free diet. Very appreciated! We stayed in the top room, steep staircase so don't drag your suitcases upstairs! Instead let them stay in the music room, a suggestion made by the hostess. We enjoyed our conversations- stimulating and interesting! The garden is lovely, as is the sun room available to guest for a living room experience.This is NOT the place to stay if you want a bland hotel experience. It is more like visiting a family member that cares for her home and for her guests and asks that you do too.

Elizabeth is a great host, we enjoyed our stay. She is also a very good cook. The Tavern is very nice but you need to be prepared to do alot of steps.

My husband and I needed a place to stay on our way to Maine. The Fletcher Tavern was perfect. We were greeted by the owner, had an enjoyable evening, and very comfortable night. In the morning, a delicious “English” breakfast was skillfully repaired for us after having a plate of fresh fruit. The Tavern is a lovely historic home run by an interesting and engaging owner. We are very pleased we chose to stay there.

Small friendly B&B

Lovely Lady. Lots of antiques to look at. 5 to 10 minutes to eats and shops. Busy intersection for parking at night. Large Breakfast very nice😊. Only hand shower in bath, but lovely bath and heated toilet seat😄

The EXPEDIA listing stated that the room we booked ("Room with a View" on 2nd floor) had air conditioning. IT DID NOT have it's own A/C. The property website does not state anything about A/C, so perhaps the fault lies with communications between Expedia and the proprietor. The property was very clean, well kept & decorated beautifully. But it was extremely hot that week & the proprietor told us to turn on the window A/C unit in the PUBLIC sitting room across the hall, and place the box fan in our OPEN bedroom door to pull the cool air into our room. There were people booked in the other 2 rooms, so we felt VERY uncomfortable leaving our door wide open all night. Two of the 3 windows in our room were sealed shut, and the 3rd opened onto the street and there was no breeze. A note to anyone with mobility issues: this room is on the 2nd floor, has a tub with a shower nozzle but no enclosure and no safety rails.

Colonial Charm, Red-Coat Rules

The accommodations and ambiance were amazing. Very quaint, quintessentially colonial and English charming in gardens and decor. It was all I expected in terms of the center of Westford and Old Academy Hill. Elizabeth, the inn-keeper, was an amazing culinary breakfast cook who took every consideration of her guests dietary needs. However, Elizabeth's 2-pages of rules, need for notes instead of conversation, and inability to interact in a pleasant and warm way made the stay uncomfortable. Her presence, at times, gave a fearful air to the room as if you did not want to inconvenience her or not meet with her expectations in any way, lest you'd be scolded. No-one wants that on a trip of relaxation. If Elizabeth were to smile more, be concerned less about guests messing up her "house" and be more open to the possibility of joy, she may find some rewards in Inn Ownership other than money. And, she may also find more repeat customers, such as myself.
