Villas Salobre

If you want a quiet, secluded villa with all the mod cons then this is the place for you. The Myside villas are the best ones. NB you will need a car here also if you need to be bars, restaurants and clubs then this is not the place for you.

The resort is in a peaceful inland location, easily accessible from the airport. The villas were generally well kept and pretty well-equipped, with plenty of space for families, although some additional child-proofing precautions would be welcome (watch out for doors facing on to the swimming pool which kids can open from the inside)! Staff were very helpful and the proximity to the Sheraton Salobre Hotel is useful as it allows guests to access the pool, bars and restaurants.

Pros: Quiet and scenic location, good quality accommodation, use of hotel facilities.

Cons: Child-proofing of villas, unheated pools and lack of information in the villas about the local area and the facilities on offer at the hotel.

Location: Shopping and sand dunes at Maspalomas, quiet beach and watersports at Taurito, pretty harbour and family-friendly beach at Playa Mogan.

We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful during our stay. I did feel though that a better job could have been done in respect of changing the bedding and cleaning the Villa where your stay is in excess of 3 days.

Pros: We stayed in a Villa with our own swimming pool and good privacy in a wonderful location.

Cons: They could have done a much better job of changing the bedding and doing to clean of the Villa for longer stays.

Location: Great place for fun in the sun, golfing and good family quality time.
