I like the building of the hotel. But the room’s table lights did not work properly. The restaurant foods was so so and fruits was not fresh. All these issues were not worth what we paid expensively for the hotel room.

The Gold Floor experience is indeed gold! Besides the fabulous lounge experience which included a wonderful breakfast and snacks, the concierge service was above and beyond. They accommodated our many meetings and provided exceptional service.

The hotel rest room on the main lobby was not clean. Paper on the floor, dirty toilets and sinks. Zoe's Bar had very slow service. It took ten minutes to get seated in the lounge. Another ten minutes for a server to get our order. And a full half an hour to get our cocktails and appetizers. The hotel room in general needs an update. The fixtures in the bathroom are coming away from the wall and sink. The shower has very poor temperature controls. The windows are filthy. The blinds are either up or down. There are no privacy shears which could give added protection from the building across the street. Overall, I felt that this hotel is not up to the standard of other Fairmonts that I have visited in Banff and Toronto,

The Chateau Laurier is a beautiful property and very historic. Our room on the gold level was beautiful except for the curtains. One of the was not attached to the ceiling. Needed some tlc, but apart from that, great stay.

Staying on the Gold Level was wonderful with a lovely lounge serving breakfast, afternoon tea and scones followed by happy hour with wine, beer and heavy appetizers. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal with easy access to the downtown sights and Ottawa River. We would definitely stay at The Chateau Laurier again. The only drawback was very inconsiderate wedding guests returning to our floor making excessive noise from 12:45-2:00AM.

We had an amazing stay for our 10th anniversary. Staff went above and beyond, with the highest privacy and care. Having a dedicated checkin desk only for the 4th floor was very handy. For a second you forget you are in a majestic Chateau, and feel like you are in a very cozy and private stay. They had great recommendations of the surroundings. They even made a reservation for me. The complementary servings are awesome. Location was impressively accessible, it's way closer to everything than we thought looking it was on Google maps.

The toilet in our room was shaking from left to right. At least, one of your elevators has a safety problem, i.e., door closed and after that opened and this is going for several times! Unpleasant smell in the men's toilet on the first floor.
