    A perfect spot for a gay getaway!

    We found the rainbow rooms to be exactly what we were looking for on our long weekend in Lisbon. We had a private room in the guesthouse but it generally has a communal feel that really works. We made friends with the other guys that were staying and with management which made it a realy home away from home. They shared tips and suggestions on where to visit and what to do. The property itself is located in a very accessible part of town. It's super clean and beautiful decor and excellent attention to detail in the rooms (bath robes, slippers, eye masks, ear plugs) and in common areas (free coffee/tea/water). If you're looking for a perfect gay getaway to Lisbon, whether as a solo traveller or in a couple, or more - look no further... this is the spot for you.

    Relaxed atmosphere

    When I arrived I was disapppinted to find no signage at the front of the building and no breakfast arrangements or fridge (I should have read details on website better). However i stayed 5 nights in a very clean but small double room with an excellent bed and adequate storage. Good air conditioning. The bathroom was shared (2 bathrooms used by 4 rooms) but this was never a problem. Bathrooms were excellent and much more spacious than most enjoy suites! There was an abundance of clean towels daily. Location was good close to Saldanha metro but this is about 3 stops from Rato and Real Proncipe gay area. Or 6/7 stops from livelier Barrio Alto.

    great place to stay; for couples more than singles

    This is a modern, super clean and well located spot. The Metro is less than 5 minute walk with lots of restaurants, a shopping mall and high end hotels around the corner. It is located in an extremely nice area of Lisbon and it is within walking distance to the old town. Paulo is extremely helpful and will have all of the information that you need to enjoy Lisbon. My only caution is that if you think it may resemble some of the gay guest houses in Canada or the USA; you might be disappointed. It seems like a great place for couples, but not single travelers.

    Great value, wonderful stay

    This place is a perfect quiet getaway for solo men or gay couples. Paulo is friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable, and the coffee is great. The neighbourhood is quiet but easily accessible by metro.

    Pros: Location, value, cleanliness

    Cons: No recommendations

    Location: There are a few nice looking restaurants nearby but I didn't try them.

    Stylish hostel, with nice duvets.

    Spent 5 days here, and could nitpick, but won't. The reality, is that for the price, this place is fantastic. Close enough for subways to downtown. I enjoyed it very, very much.

    Pros: Felt like home. Loved the duvets on very comfortable beds.

    Cons: Shower head was too high for me to reach.....I'm 5'6"

    Location: Very nice neighborhood with local restaurants. I walked to the Gulbenkian Museum, altho modern art is not my thing.
