Beautiful countryside Château
I wish we had longer to stay. The Château has been renovated with all the modern comforts you need. Lovely bedrooms, big bathrooms and beautiful views across the countryside. Steven is also a friendly and welcoming host who makes the best English tea, his own jams and bakes pastries daily. Nearby towns (10 mins drive) have excellent restaurants also if you want to venture away for a meal, incl a Michelin starred.

French Chateau
If you are looking to stay in an old French Chateau, then this is the place. The owners have done a fantastic job with the all the rooms. So even though you are staying in an old chateau, there are modern day comforts. The rooms were clean and comfortable. If there was a downside to our stay, I would say that the village that the chateau is located is very quiet with few things to do...but that might be what you are looking for...it is within 10 minutes drive of a village with more amenities however. The host had a great knowledge of the area and places to visit. Would stay there again if in the area.

Superb choice
A wonderful château in a sleepy village. It has a lot of old charm, we had a sizeable bedroom, the bathroom had modern facilities well blended in. Stephan was a great host, the evening meal was the best we had on our trip. It was a bit of a drive from the tourist chateaus in the Loire Valley but certainly worthwhile.

The true essence of living in a chateau
We checked in to find Stephen making dinner for guests, but he raced down the stairs to greet us. The stay was very quiet and peaceful, and was an excellent location for touring other chateaux in the Loire Valley. Breakfast was always a treat with guests from many other countries and places. Stephen's collection of beautiful antiques, rare finds, and original artwork made the chateaux not just a historic treasure, but a warm and welcoming home. Stephen was also very helpful with local sites and especially local restaurants, which were far and few between that far out in the country. His suggestions for dining were superb. All of the bathrooms were very modern, and ours spacious, located in the "pepperpot" roof of one of the towers. We were able to visit all of the popular and famous Loire Valley chateaux, as they were within an hour or less away by car, which you must have to get around this part of the country. A superb stay.

Beautiful accommodation in the Loire Valley
A lovely and relaxing spot to stay for 3 nights on our tour through France. Great host, fantastic accommodation and beautiful breakfast in a truly wonderful home. A very quiet spot - for us, ideal.
