What a lovely find. Suited us for an overnight stay with our dog. Clean, comfortable, warm, with a lovely breakfast. Even a sausage for Gus. Priced well too. Thanks.
Arrived around 6.30pm and knew exactly what room I was in, how to get to it etc. Room was lovely and cosy - loved the beams and old features! Slept like a log and the shower was fantastic - a proper power shower! Breakfast was great and overall one of the best i've stayed in. Will be back again!
Wonderful setting very peaceful. We brought our dog with us our room had direct access to a lovely garden. Delicious breakfast, no bar or restaurant on site but we found a nice pub Fox & Hounds a couple of minutes away and had a very nice dinner there.
I need to accept some responsibility for my disappointment as I hadnβt realised this was a wedding venue and therefore during the week has very few facilities. I had a long drive from work to get here only to find no one in reception. I then checked my emails and saw an email with details of how to get access to my room - I had to drive off property to do this as there was no signal. The email had been sent that day and I didnβt see it as I was at work. I booked this a little while ago.
No food on site, and after a long drive I didnβt want to go out again. I ordered a take away in the end - not ideal as I donβt like fast food. My room was ok. Clean and quiet.
Tea and coffee provided but the tiniest cups!!
I chose the venue for its proximity to where I am working the following day so ideal from that point of view. It has served its purpose.
Easy, clean, tidy, modern, well presented, warm and comfortable, everything you could want. And then breakfast was freshly cooked, prompt and really good. Would hesitate to stay again π
There was no phone signal on mobile and no landline phone in room so no way of contacting the number advised for out of hours assistance left feeling a little vulnerable as a single lady traveller
wifi very un predictable unable to contact to book for food in the evening as no restaurant or bar available at the Granary
Only mirror in the room was in the bathroom over the wash basin no making it difficult to dry hair as could not plug hairdryer in bathroom
plenty of mirrors in breakfast room would have been useful to have had one in room 4
excellent breakfast but was unable to address these issues as only the chef in
Disappointed that I was sent an e mail to say reception was shut & to follow the instructions unfortunately I had no e mail signal ! When I rang the phone number it diverted to answerphone again no help
No mention of restaurant being shut as I usually eat on arrival
Fortunately I remembered the wi fi log in and retrieved the instructions to get in
Very poor customer service all it took was a phone call
There seemed to be one staff doing everything and though polite not particularly welcoming. The room was a little underwhelming but clean and nice shower. The windows meant rooms were very easy for people to look into.
The isolation/rural aspect was lovely.
The breakfast was great and use of local produce is good too.
We did not stay for breakfast as had to be off early so cannot rate but the rooms are lovely and quiet and has everything you need - would definitely stay again
