Paradise and peace. We loved it at Margarita del Sol. Although, the drive from the town to the hotel, not the hotel’s fault, was really rough. Please remember to purchase food before you get there as you won’t want to leave to traverse the road back into town. Lulu is lovely and extremely kind and helpful.

Es un hotel sustentable el cual no está especificado en la plataforma eso quire decir que no cuenta con luz eléctrica, eso dice mucho para quien ve la plataforma uno decide en este caso no fue así llegamos de noche , la señora comentó estando ahí que es sustentable , justificando porque solo tiene un solo ventilador de techo dentro del departamento aunque dice que no cuenta con clima al menos debería tener dos ventiladores , olía ,mucho a humedad, las puertas ventanas que dan vista al mar casi no se pueden abrir porque están corroídas, le pedí otro ventilador se justificó que es sustentable , no me trajo otro ventilador , no cuenta con suficiente paneles solares porque dentro de dos horas se apagó el ventilador abrimos puertas y ventanas no se toleraba el calor , los mosquitos ni se diga me sentí estafada por el precio , al día siguiente nos retiramos el calor insostenible , nadie en su sano juicio pone un departamento con un solo ventilador tamaño chico cuando el clima es tropical al estar cerca de la playa el calor es más intenso , mínimo dos , más paneles solares para abastecer el servicio de noche , y también una tv el hotel está retirado solo hay internet para entretenerse .

Recomendado

Te atienden los propietarios que son súper atentos, la habitación, piscina y todas las áreas muy limpias. Ideal para ir a descansar o con niños, se divierten buscando cangrejos y fauna local. Cuenta con wifi de buena velocidad, no hay tv pero realmente no lo sentí necesario. La playa está a pocos metros de las habitaciones. Lo recomiendo ✨

muy malo en los servicios, el transporte toda una mafia porque todos los taxistas del aeropuerto se ponen de acuerdo para encarecer el servicio. tanto que la dueña o encargada del establecimiento salio a discutir con el taxi que nos llevo del aeropuerto al hotel porque segun ella no pertenecía al sindicato de Mahahual y nos pedian tomar los taxis que ellos ya tenían pactados para que el cobro fuera lo que ellos han establecido de mutua acuerdo entre los taxistas y los hoteleros, el entorno del hotel muy sucio con basureros en lo que es la playa y muchos animales agresivos que no permiten el libre transito de las personas sobre la playa, en tema de consumos y bebidas muy caras, muy inseguro porque le robaron unos tenis a mi mama en donde ella se encontraba sentada, no podrías estar libremente.

El hotel tiene publicidad engañosa, me vio a habitación frente al mar, pero no dicen que abres la ventana y ves puras Plantas que no podan y no se ve nada el mar. Habitación sucia, toallas manchadas, alberca con moho y la administradora es la dueña con un carácter muy prepotente. Mucho sargazo en la playa, no limpian la playa desde hace mucho de zargazo y por lo tanto el aroma que llega al cuarto es podrido; no se puede dormir por lo mismo. De dos noches, solo soporte estar una noche, preferí estar en otro hotel cercano donde si tienen mantenimiento y cuidados. La peor experiencia de vacaciones.

En general el hotel está bien la atención de la señora que nos recibió también muy buena pero está demasiado lejos del Área comercial de Mahahual, son 6 km aproximadamente de distancia. Tiene muy mala recepción de internet casi nula y eso nos ocasionó un poco de malestar

un lugar para relajarte alejado del bullicio

Es un pequeño hotel a la orilla del Mar Caribe, atendido con gran hospitalidad por sus propietarios, está ubicado al sur de Mahahual por un pequeño camino a lo largo de la costa. Tu habitación literal esta a unos pasos del mar y las noches estrelladas son espectaculares. Si buscas relajarte, alejado de bullicio de la ciudad en contacto con la naturaleza en un lugar autosustentable este es el sitio, recolectan su propia agua para su abastecimiento, generan su energía eléctrica y calentamiento de agua a través de solares y también tienen alimentacion por gas

Loved that this property was out of town and away from the hustle and bustle. Also appreciated that it had no tv or cell service. It had wifi but just enough strength to check emails or send out a text, which is fine. The beach had sea grass on it but that is to be expected as it’s an eco friendly resort you don’t expect them to drag a tractor up and down the beach to clean it up. The villa had everything needed to cook for yourself. There are lots of windows allowing good airflow through the place which makes up for no AC(off grid life cannot sore the power for AC units) The hosts were very friendly and cooked us a beautiful breakfast and served it in their pool area. Sad we didn’t stay longer. If you want finer luxuries this isn’t for you. If you want eco friendly, off the grid type living with quiet, tranquil beach right out your front door, this is it!

Margarita's Margarita del Sol is wonderful! We enjoyed a clean and comfortable suite with a kitchen and private beach. The gardens, swings, and pool are refreshing. Margarita and her team are fantastic hosts. We had a wonderful holiday in Mahahual. We highly recommend Margarita del Sol!

Hotel muy alejado del centro. Para salir hayan que tomar taxi y cobran 150 pesos La playa es pequeña , tiene sargazo y a pesar de tener oleaje pequeño y tranquilo tiene el Agua muy turbia . Falta que consideren poner shampoo, algún servicio de snacks y bebidas . El desayuno que preparan a petición previa es rico aunque no es tan basto . Tratamiento muy cordial y son muy serviciales

Pésima experiencia. Es la primera vez que me hospedo en un hotel cerrado en todos sus servicios. Nadie más que la dueña y su esposo en el hotel. La playa muy sucia y prenden un generador de luz que hace un ruidero espantoso en un lugar que debería de ser de descanso. Queríamos ver las estrellas en la noche y no podían apagar las luces en la playa porque es un contacto eléctrico automático. Al día siguiente nos CORRIERON porque supeustamente tenían un problema en la luz (nunca se fue la luz). La dueña muy grosera. En fin de esos lugares que ya se ve que estan en decadencia y lo están dejando morir poco a poco.

Hotel agradable, a la orilla de la playa.

Hotel muy cómodo cerca de la playa, se encuentra a 7km del pueblo de Mahahual lo que hace que sea un lugar más íntimo. Los dueños del hotel son super amables. La habitación cuenta con todo lo necesario para cocinar. El baño es amplio y siempre hay agua. La cama es muy cómoda. No tiene aire acondicionado peor no es necesario, si se quedan en una habitación en planta alta entra suficiente viento por las ventanas. El hotel es autosustentable; recolecta agua de lluvia y genera electricidad por medio del viento y luz solar. La alberca está linda y tiene desniveles para niños. La playa es muy hermosa, aunque nos tocó época de sargazo y fuimos a buscar otra playa en el pueblo. No hay restaurant en el hotel, pero cerca de 20 min está el pueblo y también pueden llevar comida y cocinar en la habitación. Es esencial llevar auto para desplazarse. Majahual es la playa más hermosa que he conocido. OJO: Aunque hay internet, no hay buena señal en las habitaciones y no llega bien la señal de telcel. Esto sucede no solo en el hotel, sino en toda la zona.

Muy difícil acceso, camino de terraceria.

El personal increíblemente amable lo malo es llegar al hotel por un camino de terraceria el cual dificulta mucho la llegada. Las habitaciones aceptables sin embargo para mi gusto no son de 4 estrellas, el sargazo acumulado en la playa dificulta la entrada al mar así que optamos por irnos. Para ir a la tienda más cercana son 20 min en auto.

Está lejos del centro, no hay facilidades de desayunos comida o cena , tienes que ir al pueblo o tener algo en el refri y cocinar . No es muy amable la atención de los encargados .

Horrible experience

We arrived for a 6 night stay and were quickly checked in by the owners. When we saw the beach from our room we were shocked by the amount of seagrass, this made the beach unusable and the sea unswimable. The owners solution was to put a wooden plank down over the rotting seagrass (see photos). We didn't see the owners again and the property was left in the care of a cleaner and gardener, who were both charming (which is why we have given staff 3 stars) but did not speak English. The gardener tended the garden and raked the sand on the beach but made no attempt to clear the rapidly accumulating rotting seagrass, which on his own was an impossible task. We could not swim in the sea, or sit on the beach because of the stench of the rotting seagrass, we were forced to leave early. The resort is located 7km south of Mahahaul, where they were making every effort to clear the dead seagrass so that it was possible to sit on the beach and get in the sea, sadly this was not the case at this resort.

Love the sound of the waves

My wife, toddler and I recently spent a week at Margarita del Sol and had a great time. Our apartment faced the beach and we loved the sound of the waves while we slept. In the mornings we walked out right onto the beach and it was ideal for our toddler. We enjoyed the privacy of being away from people but only 10 minutes away from town. The owners are very friendly and made sure I got my missing luggage from the airlines. I’d recommend their place to any family for a short or long stay.

Muy recomendable

Excelente ubicacacion, está a 5 kilómetros del centro de mahahual pero vale la pena, la playa sola, pes ti solo, las instalaciones muy buenas aunque la ubicación de la alberca está lejos de las habitaciones, pero eso no es relevante al tener el mar, las noches estrelladas es un espectáculo fenomenal. La atención del personal muy buena y servicial.

Fridfull plats lite utkanten till Mahahaul men med tillgång till eget pentrykök behöver man inte ta sig någonstans. Allt finns vad du behöver i lägenheten och utanför finns det gott om hängmattor och solstolar för privat avkoppling. Fantastisk personal med god service och super sköna sängar!!
