Wonderful Discovery

Wonderful location, great view and facility. Wonderful hospitality by owner who made reservations for us at an exceptional restaurant for dinner. Highly recommend.

Great view of the bay and sunsets. Comfortable room and plentiful and delicious breakfast. Mike is a fantastic host. A very affable person who is most generous with his time and devotes a lot of attention to detail. Luigi and Oscar are delightful pet cats.

A Dream Getaway

Relaxing, amazing sunsets, breakfast was outstanding and plentiful, muffin was over the top, Mike incredible host, the room beautiful and inviting. Will absolutely be back again and again.

A Great Place to Stay on the Bay

We had a wonderful one night stay at the Baywood and the owner Mike couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The Lighthouse room was well appointed and nicely decorated. The breakfast was quite substantial and delicious. The only downside for us was the very spotty connectivity on the Wifi. Thanks for having us!

Relaxing perfection

The bedroom & bathroom are very large & comfortably elegant, surpassed only by the balcony & its view. Mike was an amazing host. Got us settled, answered our questions & made eating & sightseeing recommendations & then left us to roam & relax. After serving a delicious breakfast, he sat with us & shared stories of Virginia history that I will never forget. A thoroughly wonderful stay, only wish it had been much longer.

August 2018 stay

What a wonderful experience! Excellent room with a large balcony overlooking the bay....and a picture postcard sunset provided at no extra cost. In addition to the great spacious room, the view, and the beach, Mike was a consummate host.....making our stay a memorable and pleasurable one. Luigi and Oscar (cats) provided limited concierge service, as well as outside security to protect us from the deer on the property, with no expectation of a tip beyond a couple of strokes of their fur. Our only disappointment was that our travel plans did not allow for a longer stay. Next time we are in the Chesapeake Bay area, we will not make that mistake again. The Ericksons, Minnesota

Beautiful home

My husband and I so enjoyed our time at Baywood and the city of Cape Charles. Our room was clean and spacious and Mike and Sharon made the little touches that made it seem like home. We had the Cape Charles room which had the beautiful view of The Chesapeake Bay. It was relaxing to hear the water and watch the fisherman work offshore. We even saw an eagle fly by. Mike was so helpful to share sight seeing tips. His breakfast was so delicious. He is quite the cook. We definitely recommend this beautiful home as well as the quaint city of Cape Charles. We look forward to going back

The view was awesome! The private beach area was awesome! We loved being able to go through the back yard and be at the beach. No traveling and fighting crowds. The personal service was great and the breakfast was unique and delicious.

Weekend Getaway

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at The Baywood Bed and Breakfast. It was relaxing and the view was amazing! Mike was very hospitable and made a great breakfast. We can't wait to come back and visit again.

Tranquility on the Bay

Everything about Baywood was perfect, from the beautiful house and setting to the excellent breakfast to the bed so comfortable you didn't want to get out of it. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back.

We are Coming Back...

Just had a lovely two-night stay in the Cape Charles room. The bed is super comfy and the views...THE VIEWS!!! It was so pleasurable sitting on the balcony watching the world go by, and the pelicans! Spotted a bald eagle, too. Mike is a gracious host and a great cook. Our breakfasts were more than filling and delicious. We are already figuring out when we can return in the fall! Janet & Jim

Hidden treasure

We stayed there for a night and wished we would have stayed longer. The views are amazing and you have access to a very private pristine beach area. The landscape and rooms are impeccable, and the owner was very friendly and accommodating. We will return for sure

Fun Filled Days

What a wonderful place to stay. Mike is top notch and his breakfasts were tasty and full of interesting conversation. The view is enchanting and the atmosphere is restful. Thanks Mike for a wonderful stay...we'll be back for sure.

Very nice B&B, clean and quiet. The location is remote and private, but within short driving distance to both VA Beach and Cape Charles. Their grounds and beach are secluded and maintained for your use. Mike makes a fantastic breakfast and is a great conversationalist. If you are a history buff, especially the Civil War, ask him about anything!
