"Nice location, staff were helpful and breakfast/food was great.
Stayed for one night in the heat wave and room was sweltering - but found a fan in the wardrobe to help."
"I have stayed at the Bear on several occasions and I always enjoy my visits. It's a wonderful place to relax, with comfortable rooms, good food and friendly and helpful staff. "
"We found out quite late we have no hot water. We called the staff who said they'll see what can be done and call us right back. They never called.
I the morning, when we asked again for the water to be repaired, they tried a few things and said they should be OK in about 10 minutes. We waited 30. Nothing happened, so we gave up.
Also, the closet door was missing a screw and the door came apart. "

"Great business stay, shame about the lack of parking. I got stung at the nearby nationaly managed car park. Nonetheless an excellent check in and comfortable stay. Thank you "
"Clean hotel with good service. Building and decor need refreshment. No bulb in the lamp in my children's room (family room). Not a massive issue so I didn’t mention it to staff, who I'm sure would have sorted it. Bathroom excellent and loads of room. Breakfast buffet not available but hotel wasn't busy and hot breakfast was available on request. We miss the swimming pool. Brilliant location."
"The hotel has recently had a renovation and oh my what a result. The room we had was a cosy sea view room. It had everything we needed and more. It was 27C the day we stayed so the air-con was very welcomed indeed! I highly recommend this hotel. "
"Stay was lovely again nice place to stay for a night location great close to all restaurants staff amazing lovely hotel very clean quite close to train station "
"They gave us an upgraded room at no request upon arrival, two free drinks in the bar as it was my birthday! The room was so lovely, the bed was unbelievably comfortable! The soap etc in the bathroom smelled divine, so much I’m now hunting online to see if we can purchase it! Also the aircon was fantastic!"
