"Nice, new and modern hotel. About a 10 minute walk to 5th Avenue. The area was quieter and less touristy, but still right in Centro and walking distance to many areas. There were some nice local restaurants close to the hotel. We always felt safe walking in the area day or night. All the staff (front desk, housekeeping, breakfast restaurant) were always friendly and helpful! A la carte breakfast was tasty and filling. "The rooms were very clean, the linens were nice, but the beds were not comfortable, it was like you were sleeping on the floor. The mine bar in the rooms The hotel amenities were less than impressive, the bars weren’t open until 11am, so even if you just wanted a plain soda, ice tea or water, it was simply not an option. The mini bar in the rooms were bare minimum. "

"I can't praise the Reef 28 enough! Upon arrival Alejandro offered us a few incentives if we sat through a 90 minute 'timeshare' kinda sales pitch... 30 minute massage; 2 spa passes; access to 2 other Reef Resorts and free private transfer to the airport (we were flying out of Cancun). Agreed to go and it was WORTH IT! more about this later Expedia Gold Membership got us an upgrade to a corner suite - The suite is bigger than my apartment! Walked into a huge table with seating for 8; Kitchenette; Living Room with big screen TV; a full bathroom and balcony. Then we walked into our bedroom: another full bathroom; king size bed; jacuzzi tub; big screen TV; radio; safe; iron; hair dryer and another balcony (same balcony; it wraps around the entire suite - absolutely amazing!) Next morning; breakfast with Donaciano; Noemi and the rest of the crew - fantastic energy; easy going (absolutely lovely people). Fruits; breakfast parfaits; pastries; breads; western and traditional mexican dishes and the omelette station - Martha's is a freaking wizard of the grill; had one everyday"

"Room was nice, however it was next to the theater so it was loud at night. Food was limited and mediocre at the buffet. No poolside service. Seemed like they were short staffed everywhere. The snack bar food was awful and it took about 40 minutes to get a pulled pork supposedly ( the meat was cut into chunks) and cold French fries. "
