"I love hotel j-mex. The worst part is to get down the stairs to the property if you have big luggage etc. everything else is perfect. This is a love hotel so you will see people using it for that purpose, and cigarette smell if that bothers you. If not, J-Mex is always my go to when I stay in Japan. The room is huge. The bathroom is the best. 100000/10 we love you j-mex see you next trip"

"Stayed overnight to fly home. Hotel accommodating with a 10pm check in. Great location, convenient stores nearby. Good walking for what we needed. Thank you for a lovely stay. "
"Cheapest hotel I’ve stayed at in all my years coming to Tokyo and Shinjuku. Traveled alone this time and decided to see if I couldn’t save a few bucks and so searched for a hotel in Shinjuku with decent reviews that cost less than US$100 (typically spend US$175-250). Super pleased to say that the Via Inn was a very pleasant surprise. If you’re new to Japan then understand that hotels here are quite small and Via is no exception. Aside from a small desk with a chair there was nowhere to sit other than the bed. Fine with me. The bed was very comfortable - firmer than average with a nice comforter. Only one pillow to begin with but I was given another when I asked for one. The ac worked as advertised, as did the separate air filter/humidifier. No closet space at all - just a wall-hung rack with a half dozen hangers. The bathroom was small but clean, and the water pressure and temp were great. No view at all from window, just the outer stairwell of the building next door. Clean hallways/elevators. Very pleasant staff at front desk - two gentlemen who helped me with the self check-in. A bit odd - I’ve not seen self check-in/out before - worked fine. Front desk staff actually had to help find my reservation when the kiosk couldn’t. The neighborhood is neither great nor awful. Ten min walk to Shinjuku Station. The Via Inn Shinjuku was clean, safe, affordable, comfortable. I recommend it and would return if alone. Couples/families might want to book a larger room though."
"Only a couple blocks from Shinjuku Station, this was very conveniently located with lots of great food options nearby. Anshin Oyado has so many amenities like the sento and free meals and drinks. I was impressed by all the complimentary toiletries—earplugs, breathing strips, cotton swabs, razors, hairbrushes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, and more. They’ll even let you keep the pajamas. I was very happy with my stay and can’t recommend this place enough. I would definitely come back here next time I visit Tokyo."
