"Hotel location was absolutely perfect, my first visit to Kyoto right by so many wonderful places to walk, I spent three nights in the hotel, the staff as we all of Japan is extremely kind, professional, and helpful, hotel was clean the lounge had wonderful little treats, —subway, department stores food, Riverwalk, the bridge. Everything is right there within walking distance. The only thing that was absolutely stupid was having to use the iPad to turn the lights on and off - iPad kept going dead so when we went to bed a night, we had to wait 30 minutes to charge it in order to turn off the lights to sleep - stupid! you can’t just turn off the lights with a switch on wall .Everything else was perfect. FYI, we kept the iPad plugged in, but it still went dead for some reason.- if I ever come back to Kyoto? I would definitely stay at this hotel again. "

"This hotel was great! It was such a nice change of pace from Tokyo. The onsen in the basement was so calm and peaceful! We absolutely loved it. We didn’t go to the restaurant at the hotel but there was an amazing French inspired restaurant near the canal only a few blocks away. We went there twice in three days. Highly recommend the hotel and the nearby restaurant."

"Stayed here for a week with my daughter. The people were the kindest and I’m so grateful for them. The breakfast was amazing. One of the best I’ve had in Japan. The property is great and the restaurant and bakery in the hotel helped a lot for snacking. Overall would stay here again and 10/10 recommend it to anyone. You won’t be disappointed. "
