"Our stay at the Shijo Takakura Hotel grandreverie was great! It was the most memorable room of our trip to Japan, a great design and lots of space. The stone shower and bathtub were especially luxury. The staff was incredibly attentive. It's the one place we'd immediately go again!"
"Absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Muso. We truly enjoyed our host, Ryo's energy and they honestly could not do enough for us. Great location, rooms are spacious by Japanese standards and perfectly clean. I couldn't recommend them more - you will not be disappointed"
"Top notch property that was very comfortable for our family of four. Traditionally beautiful with all of the modern amenities included. The staff was very helpful and attentive and breakfast was on time both mornings (ordered separately). We would not hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended. "

"Great and modern looking hotel with lots of amenities! Room was small as expected with a W/D for convenience. Daily limited housekeeping with new towels/slippers and robes. The lobby staff was helpful in getting out lugggage forwarded to our next destination. Great complimentary coffee machine with choices of coffee throughout the day and nightly 2 selections of Sake to sample to end the night!
The hotel was in a quiet and walkable neighborhood. We loved exploring the alleyways and walking to different locations in Kyoto!
I would recommend this hotel! Will look into Tokyu Stay in other locations the next time we visit Japan! One of our favorite hotels!"
"Cute boutique like hotel. 15mins away from Nishiki market. 5 mins away from the metro. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Room was on the smaller side but a non-issue for us as we spent most of our days out exploring Kyoto. "
"I'm thoroughly impressed with the service I have received at Kyoto Tokyu hotel. I have stayed in other hotels in Japan, but this is one hotel where I felt really welcome, taken care of, and safe as a single woman traveller. The service staff have excellent "omotenashi" skills and are very generous, and I felt very comfortable communicating with them. Although the room was a basic standard room, the faciliites were nothing short of excellent. It was very easy for me to visit the top locations in Kyoto by commuting by bus near the hotel. Most hotels allow for check-in at 3 p.m. and check-out at 10 a.m., but at Tokyu, you can check-in at 2 p.m. and check-out at 11 a.m. I thought this was really great. Overall, it was very much worth every yen I spent on the room. I will definitely stay at this hotel when I return to Kyoto, and will for sure recommend their services to people I know. Thank you very much, Hotel Tokyu! (P.S. I thought it was really cool that they had the option to play the radio in the room, and the lady staff who helped me out in the room was really kind!)"
"Amazing location, clean room, everything you need nearby and more. Slight walk for transport, but still very close. Would definitely recommend staying here in Kyoto. "
"Located only a couple of blocks from the main train station, this hotel was a great pick. Incredibly clean as you must take your shoes off at the entrance and roll your luggage through water before entering the lobby, and your room. The variety of hot springs baths you can choose from and the extras, such as evening noodles, ice creams and massage chairs make this a great place for families to stay. There are a number of reasonably priced restaurants nearby along with a token Don Quijote just down the street. Also on the same road as public buses 205 and 206 which take you to the tourist attractions such as the golden Pavillon. "
"Magnificent stay. This is probably the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. All staff were extremely helpful and even helped me contact the JR rail people after I left my passport on the train. The spa is amazing, and the location cannot be beat. I was genuinely sad to leave. "
