"Pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. The hotel itself is a bit of a throwback, but don't let that fool you. The staff are really great and unpretentious, but dedicated to making your stay memorable. Location is excellent, right on the beach essentially. Walking distance to the small downtown of La Jolla Shores, which has several restaurants and bars and a couple of markets. We'd definitely stay again."

"This hotel is in an excellent central La Jolla location. Great value fro money. Although an older hotel the hotel was very clean and very well maintained. The beds were very comfortable. Pool looks like new. Great complimentary coffee.Great friendly staff. A shout out to Stephanie who helped return a lost cloth item my wife left behind.Plenty of parking at $20 a day. We would definitely stay again."

"It was a short trip from L.A to San Diego. We had a graduation ceremony at 9:30a the next morning. The valet was great service, check-in was quick and easy. We made it in time for dinner and drinks at the restaurant in the hotel. Food and drinks were good. Starbucks in the morning was a lifesaver. I asked for a late check out with no problem. Which made my day. We will come back. "
