"on this trip we travelled with teens. teens can be loud... but even though they were constantly talking and laughing (just being kids) you could not hear anything from outside the room. this is the quietest hotel i have ever been to. (its the construction i believe). in other hotels i had a hard time resting because you could just hear everything. sweet dreams when you stay here! "

The lobby, the courtyard, the rooms- all embodied that quaint bed & breakfast vibe that Carmel by the Sea is known for. "Had a lovely stay at Bernardus once again! Nice, cozy and accommodating rooms made a nice relaxing stay. We went to the spa one day and all the services were lovely. We also ate at the restaurant and bar and had some great meals. Overall, staff was friendly and we enjoyed our visit. Only small nit would be that during our stay there seemed to be quite a bit of younger children (4-6 year olds) and they were running around quite a bit during the morning & day. It didn't bother us but I did notice...
