The hotel is absolutely beautiful with coastal New England decor! Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Free breakfast was amazing with fresh pastries and berries and beautiful drinks.

Good (not great) hotel

Cute boutique hotel in great location. Breakfast is wonderful and staff was nice. However, it’s on a busy street and with no A/C, sleeping with the windows open was really noisy. The room was very small and bathroom doesn’t give much privacy with a barn door. Also, the parking lot is very tight. Overall it’s a nice hotel but has some drawbacks.

Had a wonderful but brief stay. VERY well appointed rooms, great snacks and breakfast with topnotch service. Close to everything in the Golden Rectangle.

Staying here was the best decision ever!

If you like great vibes and a homey kinda of feel this is the hotel for you. It’s in a great quiet area and everything is in walking distance. We choose this hotel for our 10th anniversary and we are glad we did. Staff was friendly and really helped you if you had any accommodations or questions. It passed our expectations and then some. Safe to say is we will consider coming back to this hotel in the future!

Very cute hotel with friendly staff and a perfect location. Only critique is that the rooms aren’t very well insulated for sound, so you may want to bring your earplugs especially if you like to sleep in. Great breakfast. Free parking. Very nice high end bath products.

Pros: Very cute. Clean. Nice staff. Close to everything including downtown Carmel and beach. All walking distance. Cons:Room is very small and cramped. No closet. Bathroom door is a sliding barn door so NO privacy if you’re not traveling alone. Otherwise the location alone is worth it.

We had a great experience from the time we arrived to the time we left. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our morning breakfasts with them (getting to taste the local treats) and we were in perfect walking distance to everything. Its a quieter town, but we wanted to go out and have some drinks and found a cute small bar they recommended, Sade. Again, great experience!

Such a great spot for our long weekend! The decor is so classy, yet comfortable. The staff were all helpful with dining ideas and spots to see as first time Carmel visitors! Breakfast was delicious and the patio was a great spot to start our day! Would highly recommend!

Best Stay in Carmel by the Sea

Everything about this stay was perfect from the warm greeting to the room to the complimentary gourmet breakfast. The attention to detail and service were the best I’ve had at Carmel-by-the-Sea. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend to others.
