"This is really something to be experienced. It is new (2023) and massive - hundreds and hundreds of guests. It is a spa, first and foremost. The rooms are huge, quiet, and elegant; the numerous staff are efficient and multi-lingual. Hot springs in the building, hundreds of guests strolling about in hotel yukata, views of the peaks and ocean. "We absolutely loved our stay here. The best part other than our awesome view was the shower! I loved the water pressure. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. It was a 12 minute walk from Oita Station, and there was a Lawson around the corner. We also got free breakfast at the hotel and it was delicious. The room was spacious but the balcony was the star of the room. Would definitely stay here again."

"My friend and I had a wonderful time at the Seikouen. They picked us up from JR Kurume station, and their hospitality was amazing. They welcome us at the entrance and every time they see us. Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were beautiful and delicious. Onsen was cozie and wonderful. Definitely we will like to go there again!!!"

"Absolutely wonderful. It is a little pricey for the area and there are a lot more places cheaper, but this place is worth every cent. The service is impeccable, and every one treats you top notch with a smile. Rooms are very roomy for a Japanese Hotel and the view is amazing, especially the sunrise. The onsen is absolutely amazing as well. I plan to stay again in the future. "

"Incredible onsen, gorgeous town, nice staff, delicious breakfast buffet, and the outdoor onsen was a little slice of heaven. I wish I booked our stay for longer, I already want to go back!!!! I highly recommend this onsen to everyone, please go stay the night for a beautiful experience!"

"Nice Japanese boutique hotel within walking distance to town. Single storey Japanese style cottages or rooms (new wing) surrounded by Japanese gardens and features. 4-5 private in door and outdoor onsens to choose from. Delicious breakfast and for those with 1/2 board, the set dinner was very good with free flow of sake, coffee/tea and orange juice. Coffee/tea and orange juice also available at the reception lobby throughout our stay. Will stay again if visiting Yufurin in near future"

"The ryokan is an unusual experience for most travelers. I know what it’s about so I enjoyed it. It’s a traditional Japanese room with access to on-site public and private onsens. "1min walk from Oita JR station, where there was shopping, many dining options and a supermarket. The in-house onsen was excellent. The laundry facilities were surprisingly free of charge, but there’s a charge for dryers. Buffet breakfast was amazing serving many traditional Japanese items that we were glad to try. It’s a very convenient base to visit the surrounding towns of Beppu and Yufuin. "
