"This is a Philippine Pension house and the only one located in this vicinity. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and without any frills. "
"Very friendly staff. The restaurant next door was closed for a remodel but we were able to buy food at a store and cook there. Very close to Kawasan falls. Great view and relaxing with no loud noises."
"Generally okay for backpackers or budget travelers, as long as you don’t have a bug phobia.
The rooms were relatively clean, although the white towels were stained. The AC worked really well. The beach and the beach bar were really nice and the suset view was amazing!
We stayed for one night and had five rooms — all of them had huge (I mean 4+ cm) cockroaches, spiders, or both. There wasn’t any proper bug spray available at the time.
Would I stay here again? I could, depending on my budget...
"The property is located on the ocean but the beach isn’t very nice. The rooms are old and outdated. The road on the way to the resort is horrible. All in all it’s NOT worth the price. One positive note, the staff is friendly and helpful."
"What a great place for rest and relaxation. The staff was amazing. Ray and Nakita were the perfect host and always looking out for me. Adam Windust was an amazing dive instructor with the patience of a saint. Thanks Adam for getting me certified.
Highly recommend due to location and staff. This is one of the cleanest and safest places I’ve stayed in the Philippines. I never locked my door once while I was here for 4 days. "
"New property, amazing and kind staff, perfect pool, dorms were clean - could use better drainage in shower but not a big deal. Overall amazing stay. Thank you! "
"Our stay at the Backyard Inn was nothing short of a nightmare. The experience felt like actually sleeping outside with the chickens. The pod smelled of chicken waste, the sink didn’t drain, and the noise was unbearable—constant chicken noises, roosters crowing, and no peace or quiet to rest. We couldn’t wait to leave.
The only saving grace was the staff, who were friendly and helpful, but that does not make up for the dreadful conditions. I would never stay here again. Avoid this place unless...

"Great location, friendly staff willing to help book transport and tours, clean room, comfortable bed, great bathroom with hot Drying rack available for wet clothes, washing services offered. water. The onsite restaurant and bar was also very good. I really enjoyed my one week stay here. "
"The rooms were big so as the bathrooms. We did get the family suite thinking there would only be one room but it turns out it had two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. So that was a nice surprise. The place is a bit out of the way. If you can, try to rent a scooter or a car. It would be cheaper imo. The staff were all helpful and accommodating. They were also able to set us up with our Canyoneering tour and airport transportation. I would highly recommend this place. "
