"New, clean and awesome location"
This was my first time at Somerset and I was more than happy about everything here. the location is right in the heart of Tin Hau's restaurant area for any type of foods. It is also just a short distance to the MTR and even shorter to the tram stop, another winner is that the airport express bus stop is just at the end of the street. The room although smallish was still the perfect size for what we wanted with plenty of storage and a nice sized bathroom and shower. This is a new looking hotel and is immaculate from start to finish.

We found Hong Kong to be totally fascinating. The hotel was more than we could have asked for. Because of our "long stay" ie 7 nights upgraded to Harbour view room. Wow, what a view. A delight at the end of a long day to open the curtains and look out on a beautiful city. The pool was great on a very hot day. Utilised the room safe. More than enough room to have travelling bags, although used the travelling bag rack as our second chair. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Very pleasant. As with most Hong Kong places that we entered, a musty smell when you walk in, but soon adapted to that, we did come in the wet season. MTR, and tram 200m away. We loved the 10 minute tram ride into the city. The supermarket about 100m away. All very convenient. Would highly+++ recommend to any friends who were travelling to Hog Kong.

"Hotel accessible and cosy"
Stayed for a total of 2 nights. Overall room was small without a window but hotel made that up by having a timer controlled air purifier in the room. Do note that no fridge and no supply of toiletries except for all in one shampoo/soap. Overall will still want to stay in the hotel for its accessibility and affordable price.

"A hotel only 2 min away from MRT"
The thing that I like most about Butterfly on Victoria is its location. Its only 2 minutes walk from the Tin Hau MRT station. The tram station is almost just opposite of the hotel. Besides there are plenty of small restaurants around serving all sort of food ( Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese, Thai etc) at affordable price. If only the room can be a little bigger, then its almost a perfect place to stay.

"Needs more staff and better systems"
I have stayed at this hotel a few times for business. Everything is good except the check out, always extremely slow, there are entirely too many manual steps in the chk out process. Most hotels have automated 80% of these steps. If three or four people get ahead of you, you can easily wait 20 minutes to chk out.

"Nice views, Comfortable and clean!"
Stayed in room 33A which was a ocean view room and I must say views are really awesome, especially due to floor to roof 'windows'. Of course if you stay here you must know you can't get the absolute best view due to it being a little far from the center of hong kong high rises (but to no fault of hotel.) Also across the road is a building that is blocking direct view of the river and therefore most of other side of hong kong. But you will see everything on this side of hong kong island (stretching to the ferris wheel which is spectacular at night), again not hotels fault. Everything that was in the hands of the hotel was done right with a lot of thought put through in the amenities of the rooms and function (such as a umbrella and the softest toilet paper i've ever felt in my life!) Odd but with well designed rooms which was very new and clean! The bed was at the end of the room next to the 2 corner floor to roof 'windows' so was very romantic; although you probably wouldn't leave it open too much for privacy ;) A Lounge, coffee table and TV really made our lazy stay in hong kong a relaxing and comfortable one. Lots of channels like Discovery and news was good. Air vent style conditioning so very quick and powerful to cool the room. Hard style floors also ensured room was clean and fresh. Room was probably 32 squared metre in size? Highly recommended for those reason. As promised did not double charge me deposit or pre-authorisation fees. All refunded.

"check in not flexible"
i got in early, even though the other staff saying it is not busy, i was made to wait for 1+ hours to get my room. I find it very unsatisfactory. I have a 2pm meeting, i had to use the guest shower on the 28th floor, which is very tiny, with no vanity to get ready for change and get ready for meeting. the older Bellman from India i think is exceptionally nice. i would go back and stay there again just so that i can give him more tip.
