We were welcomed by two wonderful ladies that guided us to the rules of the hostel. The location is perfect distance from the city. The service was very nice as expected. I will be coming back to this hostel next time I am in Shinjuku!
Very pleasant experience and stay! The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were easy to use. The location was also within 15 minutes walking distance for the major train lines in Tokyo.

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
Disliked: Cleanliness
Short and simple. Dirty mens bathroom. Good staff, very nice women in the reception. Better luggage room is needed
The staff were helpful and friendly, showing us around when we arrived and took us to our room.
A great location and an excellent price, with lots of hidden restaurants in the area.
Great place for a low budget hostel.
There is no dormitory, so the place is quiete and very clean. There is a front desk person only from 3 to 10 PM, they are very nice and helpful
Had a great stay at the Tokyo E Joy Inn. Very clean and very nice people. Only issue was we requested a non smoking room but did not receive one. Other than that great stay.

Good price and value for a short stay. The other guests were quiet at night which was good since sound travels easy in the rooms from outside. Note that towels are 100 yen each if you don't bring your own (not inckude and eating/drinking in rooms isn't allowed

The location is good , also it was clean . how ever it does not have any fridge on the room, it has shared fridge and bathroom,
A nice place to stay and pretty close to the train station. A few decent restaurants nearby. It’s in a quiet area which is nice and it feels very safe. We didn’t spend much time in the hostel itself because we were out seeing the city, but it’s a good place to make home base if you’re staying in Tokyo for a few days. Any longer than a week and I’d probably try to find a place closer to the center of the city
The staff was very helpful but I wish they offered an easier way to transport our luggage to our next destination. The rooms aren’t very sound proof but it’s a comfortable place to sleep. Very clean and accommodating for tourists. Surrounding area is very quiet and friendly. Down the street from a metro bus that takes you to Shinjuku station. Would stay here again and recommend for others to stay here as well.
Stayed at the Nishishinjuku branch for a few days with a friend. We booked a comfort double bed that was, true to the name, pretty comfy! This hostel offered a great balance of both affordability and comfort. The rooms and common spaces were quite tidy, and the kitchen/refrigerator were great to have.
My only real complaint was that it was a bit noisy at times, although I attribute this mostly to being roomed right next to the bathroom. I think it would have otherwise been pretty quiet. Our room also didn’t have curtains, but was still cozy.
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly both over e-message and in-person. We also had to make a few alterations to our reservation a few weeks after booking, and this was very easy to do through Hotels.com.
Definitely a great stay, and would certainly recommend a stay here.
Closest station is 9 minute walk, which isn’t bad. The amenities provided by the hostel are extremely limited at best, for instance, you have to pay ¥100 for a disposable towel to use for showering, so you’re better off bringing your own. No spare goods such as toothbrush, toothpaste, etc are provided, aside from shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer. The showers and bathrooms are extremely small. The front desk staff is very nice, though!
Great spot for first-time Japan Visitors. There are two cheap ($3/day) parking lots within 1min of the Inn.
Unlike traditional Hostels, all rooms are enclosed and PRIVATE, with your own key. The only things open and shared are the restrooms and showers, which are gender-separated.
It's best to stay on the Top floor if possible (double rooms) as that floor also as quick access to the restrooms/showers.
If I had to identify a con, it would be the LARGE steps, but this seems to be a Japan thing. In America, you would rarely need to step more than 6in-9 to reach the next step.
Actually, it's a 3-5-minute walk to the bus station, and the nearby breakfast spot, Original Pancake House Shinjuku, is to die for. I highly recommend it!!!
Great location in a super cute and quiet neighborhood with a grocery store just a minute walk away. The room was very clean and spacious although we really wish it had a trashcan and mirror. Also, be careful not to leave any possessions out or else they might be confiscated as the staff are serious about keeping the common areas clutter free. I accidentally left my box of cotton swabs/pads out in the bathroom and when I went to retrieve them found that they were thrown out box and all. This was a bit of a bummer. Overall though great place for the price! :)
We made the biggest mistake of booking this hostel for our Japan trip. First off the only thing decent about this place was that its location was a nice quiet neighborhood that had about a 5 to 8 min walk to the Marunouchi line. Last nice thing was their showers were very comfortable minus the super soggy foot mat by the time you take a shower when you get back in evening.
Now for everything else that made this place terrible enough for me to write this review. First off, the bedding is absolutely filthy. I have attached a photo of the actual mattress where you can see that its clearly stained yellow, definitely has been through at least a decade, and has brownish wet marks. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Secondly, there was a blood stain on my pillow that resembled something similar to those blood marks people have from bed bug bites (also attached below in photos). We were assigned room A06. If you were foolish enough to still book this place, be aware that there is a lamp outside the window that BEAMS light right into the room and illuminates it. I have attached a photo of what it was like at night time 11:20pm. You will see it looks like as if it is day time (I have also attached the info screenshot so you can know exactly when I took the photo)
Now, if you did not know before hand that you don't get towels here, you can rent a very used IKEA towel for 400 Yen or buy a small face towel for 100 Yen in their capsule machine in the shared bathroom area. You cannot eat or drink anyt
