Hotels near SE 15th Street Park

"We traveled to Plunge Beach resort during a beautiful sunny week in March. The main resort building (main entrance) is set back, but a very short walk to the beach. Note: we were informed when we arrived that the beach front building had sustained damage from a broken sprinkler system so it was not able to be occupied while under renovation. The lobby area of the main building is modern and welcoming—hosting a display of local art work. There is also a great coffee shop that had fantastic coffee and breakfast sandwiches (and a super friendly and accommodating staff)!! Off of the open lobby is a bar area that hosts breakfast in the morning and drinks in the afternoon. There is a shopping center a 1 minute walk from the hotel if you need a grocery or drug store. The hotel is a 10 minute (easy) walk to all of the downtown restaurants and bars. My only complaint is that the hotel hallways and rooms looked very tired and worn. You walk from this very open, modern lobby off the elevator to hallways that have worn carpet and walls that were in desperate need of fresh paint. The rooms themselves were clean, but again somewhat worn and in need of a refresh. The hotel staff was ever present and extremely friendly! We never made it to the pool as the beach was the gold star of this resort! I would love to return back to Plunge after it completes all of its renovations and gets a refresh. With a little TLC I think this place could easily be a 5 star rating! "

"Partial ocean view over the pool beautiful view Very nice balcony Room very clean and comfortable. Only issue was housekeeping we were there 3 days one day only got 2 clean towels no new washcloths or hand towels. Next day took all used towels and left only bath towels no wash cloths or hand towels. Also trash containers are small but never emptied. Was happy to see a separate container for recycling. Other than that the stay was amazing all staff very friendly and helpful "

"The outside property and landscaping is very nice with a tropical feel. The pool is also well maintained and nice. The bathroom is small compared to larger hotel chains. My biggest complaint is there is no electrical outlets in the bathroom, therefore the hair dryer we found, and remained, plugged into the outlet at the sink next to the coffee maker in the kitchen area. I am quite sure that is an environmental hazard."

"Amazing and very clean!! When we got there we found out we had improperly booked our hotel (it was last minute) but Zach who was there during the nighttime shift was awesome. He helped us out and accommodated us."

"Nice spot we stayed in for last night before flying home. People were so friendly at the front desk. Let us borrow beach chairs for the beach across the street. We’d definitely stay here again!!"
