"I liked the location of the hotel. The room and the bathroom both had bad odors. The mattress was a little lopsided. There was not sufficient space to open up my suitcase. There were noisy guests walking in the hallway and woke me up one night. "

Also, the hotel charges for early check-in even to get into the room 30 minutes early, which I never experienced before and doesn't speak well for the hotel and customer service. I would not have paid that out of principle, but my daughter insisted."

"This was the perfect hotel to stay at during our first trip to Tokyo. The location: perfectly situated in Shinjuku across from the Metropolitan Government Building. Quiet yet located steps from the station and a plethora of shops. The hotel: excellent service, clean and efficient rooms, and good quality beds and pillows. Shopping: excellent shops a few minutes walk and easy access to trains and subways and taxi. Definitely recommend this hotel. "
