"I recently stayed at the Lotte Hotel New York for a girls trip, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. This hotel came highly recommended by a family member who frequently stays at both the Seattle and New York locations, so we went in with pretty high expectations. Right from the start, there were issues with the room. The shower wasn’t properly draining, which made it inconvenient to use, and to make matters worse, the shower head was malfunctioning and spraying water in an uncontrolled way. It made what should have been a simple, relaxing experience frustrating instead. The most concerning part of our stay, however, was when security attempted to enter our room unannounced. Thankfully, they were unable to get in due to the safety hatch on the door, but the situation was unsettling and unacceptable. When we brought this to the attention of the hotel staff, they showed little interest in addressing the seriousness of the issue. We were told someone would follow up with us, but no one ever did. Overall, the lack of responsiveness and concern from the staff, combined with the maintenance issues and the alarming security incident, left us extremely disappointed. We will not be staying here again in the future "

"Everything was great. Modern but not austere. Happy hour at the roof top terrace, breakfast and the bar at restaurant was really wonderful! Room was big and everything was very clean! All staff were quick to be helpful and very nice. We never left the hotel for food or entertainment and were VERY HAPPY. "

"Personally, I need more gluten-free selections but what little the breakfast room had was good. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. I didn't try the bar. I had a comfortable room with good light. I'd like to stay at the Freehand again."

"Staff was nice but we did not have hot water for 2 hours on Friday evening. They did compensate me a bit for the inconvenience They also did not clean the room one day and I called for clean towels but we never received them so I had to call them again hours later. Location was good. "

"Good location near flatiron. Cool vibe, nice gym. AC was broken, so room was very hot. They did provide a fan, which made it tolerable. Very slow check in with long line. Nice guitar in room. Good shower pressure. "

"Clean hotel, attentive staff. Great location with nice views of the city. Starbucks downstairs in lobby for morning coffee and a muffin. Across from Madison Square. Parking at Dock as recommended right across the street and convenient. Subway right across the street. Restaurants and bars nearby. Would def stay here again. "
