"Location location! Everything was so close. The hotel is older but beautifully maintained. We would have liked a mini fridge or microwave, but overall we were comfortable and safe. "
"I love this hotel. I’ve been here 3 times and each time I’ve had zero issues. It’s clean - next to everything and the beds are beyond comfortable. Also for being close to if not in times square - zero noise in the hallways and bedroom - maybe the first time in a long time I slept so well in manhattan:) "
"First time in NYC and wanted to stay somewhere safe and convenient. The property was beautiful and close to everything. The room was a decent size and overall very comfortable. Only negative was the restroom. It was small and outdated. "
"Keep in mind the size of the rooms with a queen and bunkbed on top.We are talking two chuncky people cannot pass each other in this type of room. Shower is small, toilet room is small. Should advertise for children or tiny adults. Which we met very slim adults and they said the room wasn't big enough for all 3 of them so 1 went to stay with other friends.
The accessible rooms with 1 queen bed are perfect size for couples.
Asked for a city view room, our room faced into other hotel rooms and the street view below the 4th floor was garbage, literally garbage in the street.
Went to The Alderman for supper, not for me. Too bougie, to expensive for me, the food was good but not fantastic. The water choices not great. I do bottled water which happened to be tap water brought out in wine bottle to make it look expensive then poured into glasses.
Because we weren't gold members we couldn't go to the rooftop. But The Hampton next door let us go to their 38th floor rooftop to enjoy the view and drinks.
Next trip we'll get 2 rooms at The Hampton, which is as nice as MOTTO.
All staff were excellent from check-in to restaurant to keeping the elevator lines moving. For the price though I want an actual size room.
My fault for not calling about room size and thought there is a queen bed so it should be fine.

An eclectic mix of business and entertainment, this was considered one of Manhattan’s remarkable engineering feats when it was finally completed in the late 1930s.
