"Great location and lots of posh pubs around the hotel to go meals in the evening. We had our meal at Bistro Pierre, which is attached to this hotel Lovely food and great service too. We booked for breakfast and that was good too. We will defo stay here again. Thanks for Fab service to all the friendly staff at the hotel and Bistro Pierre too. "

"First time stay at this hotel. Everything perfect, good location, attentive staff, lovely room. Breakfast was excellent, choice of freshly cooked dishes. Will return again. Tip car parking is safe and secure at the railway station for £6 via JustPark. "

"We stayed 3 nights in a bleak February. The weather was bad, but the room was warm and cosy. The dining hall was shut, but a continental breakfast was laid out on the landing and a small table and chairs provided in the room. Cooked breakfast was available for a small extra fee, but we didn't feel we needed one. We were in the Cream Room and we were pleased that the "private bathroom" was en suite.which we weren't sure of from the description. This is a working farm. The field opposite during our stay was home to a flock of sheep. We also heard owls during the night, which we haven't heard for some time. All in all, a good value and pleasant stay."

"Parking available at the property, nice village location. Room was nice with period features (although disappointed the 4-poster bed not there as advertised). Food from the pub was delicious although you could hear the noise from downstairs - this didn't particularly bother us but be aware if an early or light sleeper that the rooms are above the bar. Overall we enjoyed our stay. "
