"The staff were attentive and friendly, room cleaning and restocking was on demand and was efficiently done when we wanted it. The room was at the top of 3 floors, with no lift and a narrow stairs. This would have been a problem if we had been disadvantaged in any way (or just much baggage). There was a late night fire alarm incident where all residents gathered in the reception. The staff did not really take charge and were not sure about how to cancel the (false) alarm and had to call someone...

"I spent 3 nights and overall had an enjoyable stay. The room was a good size, very clean, and the bed very comfy. Only slight disappointment was that the advertised fridge was not in the room; I was expecting this to keep drinks cold and for packed lunches. Check in was done online and very easy. "Fantastic stay which exceeded expectation. A beautiful hotel with lots of character. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The pool, sauna, jacuzzi were outstanding. "We had a great stay at the BW Ipswich. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms clean and airy. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Car park conveniently in front of reception. PodPoint EV charger on site. Only a few other guests staying which might be because it's being renovated but we suffered no inconvenience from that at all. Some of the common areas are looking a bit tired and will welcome the forthcoming renovation but our room was freshly decorated and above average size with a large comfortable bed and good sized bathroom. Restaurant and gym are not yet re-opened but SkyTV in the bar area was a bonus. A really good VFM weekend stay."
