We stayed in Tufted Owl overlooking the High Street - a bit ‘rumbly’ if a big vehicle went past, but there’s very little traffic in town at night. The noise didn’t affect me at all. Beds were really comfortable and the breakfast was over at The Crown (we were given a breakfast card each) which was amazing. We’re definitely coming back. "

Local pub "The Bell Inn" 5 minutes walk provided good pub food. "Gastro" pubs available at Tintinhull and Long Sutton, each about 3 miles distant."

"I stayed here with one of my good friends for a weekend of walking and heritage visits. It was wonderfully quiet and remote, but quite near to lots of great parts of that area of Somerset, including being able to walk from the B&B across the hills to Montacute House. The owner couldn’t do enough for us, and the rooms were super clean, comfortable and had everything you could need. "Room and bathroom lovely and good location in town. We were told it would be noisy at night as it's over a cocktail bar and near a night club. Ear plugs were provided which we thought was a nice touch. If you are prepared to put up with the noise it's a good place to stay."
