"Apologies to the knights rest, but we didn't actually stay there. I booked it on the day for 2 nights through hotels.com. However ten minutes before arriving at our destination the hotel rang me to say that they were closed and on holiday themselves. They apoligised and said hotels.com should have checked their diary and not booked any rooms out. They would be putting in a complaint via Expedia. "We stayed at Langford for the night before our wedding last weekend and it was such a treat. The building and gardens are absolutely gorgeous with floral scents from the many mature flowerbeds floating in to the beautifully decorated rooms indoors. The building is clearly very old but lovingly cared for and has been maintained to a superb level of decoration and comfort.
