"It says they will give me a number to open the box which contains the key for a room. I have contacted the hotel more then 10 time they did not give me a room and a pass code for the key. I messaged the hotel at the afternoon 1:00 pm and call them the did not respond and I message Expedia, it did not respond as well. So I have to search other booking App for a different phone number to get in contact with the hotel staff to get the room key the next morning 3;00 Am. "

"Proximity to transportation andd activities. Customer service poor. They act like they don't want their jobs. Rooms are filthy with broken furniture. Property us not kept. Never again!"

"The property is located right at the heart of the city and in front of Kapitan Keling Mosque, one of the many landmarks and touristic attractions of Georgetown. The staff was very polite and helpful, and the property is very nice and has this very nice style. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and we had a very nice view from the mosque (only issue was being awakened by it at 5 AM every morning, but they had earplugs at the reception to help with that)."

"Staff were fine. Room was very basic, no amenities provided at all. Was awoken every night at 430am by some strange noise, I think coming from the pipes, then again at 6 from the mosque call to prayer nearby. WiFi wasn't great, could only use it on 2 devices. No housekeeping"

"Excellent Hotel!!!! Wonderfully friendly staff, cool historic building with awesome colonial vibe. Rooms are super spacious and the beds are beyond comfortable. I have not one single complaint about my stay at Areca Hotel."
