This hotel is excellent. The staff are welcoming and attentive, rooms are extremely clean and I loved the pool- which is super clean and attractive. The breakfast is good, particularly the omelettes. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our group of 7 has an excellent stay in the Yeng Keng Suite and 3 courtyard rooms. Such pleasant staff who were helpful throughout. Quick turnaround room servicing, lovely linen and spotlessly clean. Great breakfasts and made for the perfect stay. Ideal location for exploring Georgetown.

Lovely heritage hotel in Georgetown. It’s about 10 mins walk from the Armenian street area and lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Rooms are a decent size and amenities. It doesn’t have a lift, so beware if you have access issues. Breakfast is fine. Staff are super friendly and lovely. Other reviews mentioned the noise, we had rooms overlooking the pool on the 1st floor (not ground) and these were quiet enough. Other people mentioned the lack of pavements but I think this is Georgetown as a whole.

We loved our stay at this hotel. Very walkable area, restaurants and bars are very close. Loved the rooftop bar across the road. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and the pool was lovely and refreshing. Such a historical, classic hotel.

We loved staying here. The whole experience from Check in to check out was amazing. The old world charms was perfect. Very comfortable accommodation close to great spots to eat and drink. Would happily stay there again if we return to Georgetown.

Great hotel

Fabulous hotel. All the staff were friendly cans helpful. The room had all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. I didn’t use the swimming pool but it looked very clean, evetywhere was very clean.

A gem of a hotel

We had the most amazing stay in Penang. The hotel is very well situated so close to everything we wanted to do and see. The pool was especially welcoming after being out and about! Couldn’t fault the staff - they were ALL fantastic.

What a peach of a hotel, you're treated brilliantly by all the staff, they cannot do enough to assist you. Breakfast is lovely with a selection of choices, didn't try the restaurant in the evening as was too busy trying the multitude of dining options around George Town. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Yeng Keng Excellence

The Yeng Keng is an excellent hotel in a superb location in Penang. The decoration is beautiful, with very comfortable furnishings and it i Is in a perfect location in the heart of the city. We had a medical emergency here and the staff went out of their way to help and accommodate us for a longer stay.
