"Fabulous stay in a lovely lodge within the grounds of the Cathedral! Originally built for visiting priests about 20 years ago, and then opened to the general public. The rooms are lovely, quiet and comfortable. Exceptionally clean. Service was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is included and table service and delicious. Value is excellent. I wished we'd stayed longer!"

"Usually if I have a music engagement, the best bet is a chain hotel for value and knowing what you are going to get. The Rose and Crown came up in a search and my wife and we took the chance. I am so glad we did! The village Elham is absolutely beautiful. We had two cavaliers with us who loved that on the pub grounds was a large stretch of grass to walk and the views while doing so are wonderful. "Although located on a busy road the rooms at the rear are not affected. Staff were friendly, helpful, smiling and welcoming which aided our short stay. Would recommend for a weekend or longer. "

"We couldn't fly to our annual reunion in Turkey so we decided to visit one couple in East Kent and bring the reunion from Scotland and Northampton to the Arthouse. We had great comms from Sebastian and Adelle from the beginning. Key code given in the morning and found everything as it should have been. The front bedrooms are a wee bit noisy as on the main road but with secondary glazing, a lot cancelled out. We had everything to start our trip off, a few kitchen essentials. Parking is very tight...
