This place is really lovely, we just had a problem with the toilet not working probably but the rest was excellent. I stayed in the loft apartment on the first floor, on the review everyone was complaining about the road noise but to be honest was not that bad. You can definitely sleep at night. And the pool is amazing!!!

Safe area in downtown Cancun, walkable to take the bus to the hotel area as well as to the ADO bus. Luxurious apartment with plenty of space as well as rooftop pool. Has security in front of lobby at all times. Only minus is occasional lack of hot water in shower.

This place is a good budget-friendly option, conveniently located near a shopping center and several restaurants. However, noise was a major issue. The unit has large single-pane windows that provide no sound insulation: - A busy roundabout in front of the building, you’ll hear every honk and loud exhaust/engine. - A nearby nightclub/concert venue plays loud music until 4–5 AM, even on weekdays. I was recovering from a dental surgery, and the constant noise made it unpleasant. If you’re not sensitive to noise, this would could work well for you. But if you need peace and quiet, it may not be the best choice.

Spacious apartments for a good price

This was our first stay on our roadtrip across the Yucatan. Arrived here after our flight landed and picked up the rental car. Property entrance was tricky to locate at first, but got help from the man at the desk. It's not a typical hotel, rather a building with several apartments and even some meeting rooms. It looked pretty much brand new and it was nice to stay in a spacious apartment for our first two nights after being cramped in a plane for 14 hours. Access to the rooms is with a pass key, so you don't have to worry about a card or key going missing. The communication was a bit lacking, because they told me I still had to pay (which I didn't have to). But this was resolved quickly with the help of Google Translate. The rooftop pool looks great! We had it all to ourselves since it was low season. Parking underground was perfect since the weather was super hot at the time. Friendly employees and great looking apartments all around. Would recommend!

Plumbing problems detracted from a nice place. Location was great. Right beside the mall. Check in was a hassel as it was all done online. Someone finally came to help. Lots of room. Could have used more towels, cutlery, plates, etc. No dishwasher or oven. The main floor bathroom had a bad sewer smell. Both showers had a cover over the drain. I'm guessing for the same reason. The hot tub was nice but took forever to fill. The hot water heater is 50 litre, not gallons so you ran out of hot water after 5 min. Therefore, you had to wait 20 min for it to get hot again. This made filling the tub a 4 hour process. At least the tub had a heater so it kept it warm once it was filled. The small water heater would make showering for 4 people impossible unless your spaced it out. At one point, the shower upstairs stopped completely for a few minutes. Sink drains also ran slow. No tv in the living room. Roof top pool was nice but had a film over it. Some fixtures were dusty. The air conditioning wasn't on so it was very hot when we arrived. This place could be amazing but fell short because of these issues.

I would recommend Torre Sofia if you are looking for a place in the downtown area of Cancun. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Cancun. But we would choose another unit. Here are the pros and cons. Pros: Torre Sofia is quite new so everything is fresh and modern. They have a beautiful infinity pool on the rooftop with a nice view. 1C the unit we stayed in was fairly large modern and clean. It had a living area with a cozy couch and a small kitchen. It has a good size bedroom with a large comfortable bed. The bathroom was decent size and clean. We felt safe in the building because the main entrance was always locked and someone was always there to open it for you. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. One day there was a leak in the kitchen sink but they came and fixed it even before we were aware of it! Location wise it's a short 7 minute walk to Las Plazas Americas shopping mall with a grocery called Chedraui. There are also a few restaurants within walking distance. Cons: Except for the bedroom which had a large sliding door with a small balcony there are no windows in the other rooms. Unfortunately the bedroom faces a busy street so it was hard to sleep with all the traffic noise outside. The noise subsides around 1am but starts up again around 6am. It was great having a kitchen and they had good pots and pans. But would have appreciated maybe a little bit of complimentary salt and pepper, tea, coffee and some sugar.

Highly recommend this stay! The room was clean and exactly as pictured. The area was very safe and accessible, and when I did get in touch with the staff they were very responsive and helpful. The rooftop pool was great, albeit the tiling definitely needed to be cleaned but it was a nice addition to the stay. There are TONS of restaurants in the surrounding area and right across from a mall with a grocery store inside. This location was very convenient as it was both close to the city area and the beach as well (about 10-25 min drive away depending on which beach you were going to) One of my few drawbacks was that the shower head was not working very well and our room didn't get a cleaning refresh as per their policy for a week's stay until the day before we were leaving.
