"My grandson and I were in a Yavapai upper west room that was 63* the one night we stayed and the fan blasted cold air all night. We could not turn off the fan or raise the temperature. We had 1 extra blanket in the room. The bathroom shower, bathtub water would not turn on. We heard a noise like a critter in the overhead vent that woke us several times in the night. The patio was very nice and a couple played live music. We asked for another room in the morning and were moved to Yavapai East and got 2 complementary breakfasts at the cafe. My daughter and son in law got a room in the Red Feather Lodge just outside the Grand Canyon entrance and it was very nice with a pool and a lower cost. "

"Red Feather Lodge is a perfect place to stay. The property is clean, the rooms are clean, adequately spacious, complimentary tea, coffee, and hot chocolate and has good restaurants in walking discount with 10% discount. Vegetarian food is not a problem around. Would definitely come back."

" We were fortunate to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms. The property is absolutely gorgeous in an old Spanish style. The landscaping is just beautiful with many different kinds of trees, shrubs and flowers. The pool is rather small for a property this size but was not too busy. We toured more of the property the morning we left and I was very surprised to see how wonderful it was. I wish we had been encouraged to check it the labyrinth, the life size chess game, the checkers and backgammon tables, put-put golf, beautiful views of the creek, stone furniture patio, tennis courts and gardens. So peaceful! It was built in the 1980’s and is so spectacular! "

"Only the reception building looks new, the actual rooms are very old and not in a good condition. All the furniture’s are old and in bad condition. Floor mat is in pathetic condition. Like view balcony is for name sake, the balcony is very dirty and you will not feel like stepping in it. Never book this place. Just over hyped with high charges for everything. "
