Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku
3.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (1156)
"Really enjoyed our stay here. Check in and check out process was very easy. The amenities available in the lobby were great. Staff was friendly. The location was great for us as we enjoyed early morning walks. The Airport Limosine Bus drops off and picks up right in front which was very convenient. Only issue was beds and pillow were harder than we are used to, but that seemed to be the case in other Japan hotels as well. We had a 2 twin room and it was quite spacious."

Sotetsu Fresa Inn Higashi Shinjuku
3.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (1003)
"The hotel is approximately 2 minutes walk to Higashi Shinjuku station. Lawson and 7 eleven stores close by. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is good value for the price I pay. Rooms are small but that’s expected on most hotels in Japan. Staff are friendly and can speak English. "

Shinjuku Granbell Hotel
4.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (1007)
"A modern hotel with a beautiful view! The hotel is tucked away from the bustle of Shinjuku nightlife so you'll get a nice rest, but not too far if you wanted to join in the fun. Staff was friendly and helpful, and our room was clean. There's a bar and restaurant on the upper floors that have an amazing view of Tokyo; I recommend visiting. The breakfast buffet that I paid separately for was delicious; they had a mix of Western and traditional Japanese breakfast cuisine so it was fun to try...

"We loved staying at this hotel. The check-in was quick and easy. We rented a couple towels for just 100 yen each. We were worried when we first arrived because the room was super hot but when we cranked up the AC it cooled right down. The hallways are not air conditioned but that wasn't a big deal. We loved spending each morning eating some of the included toast and jam in the cafe and planning our day. The hotel was very close to the Jimbocho station which has multiple subway lines and is...
