"Great location just 2 bus stops from T5 with the bus stop next to the hotel (bus number 423). Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are ideal for an airport "layover" and are clean and comfortable. The hotel has a good bar, great breakfast and evening meals with viewing directly onto the airport runway with great closeup views of aircraft arrivals and departures. If there was one downside it would be the poor shower water pressure which was manageable but is low. I always stay at the Thistle when passing through London and this visit didn't disappoint."

"This is a place you’d go if you need to sleep before a flight and no other reason. The restaurant didn’t look particularly cheap or particularly good, the reception area was choked with large tour groups milling around with luggage, and it’s in what seems to be a pretty sketchy area, but I guess it does what it needs to do."

"Hotel in an excellent location if going from terminal 4 I did go to restaurant for my evening meal and I did not enjoy both the starters and main just tasted not right so that is why I o my gave it a 3-4 star"

"We had some concerns when booking this hotel for the first time but were pleasantly surprised. Positives: All of the staff were extremely helpful The library lounge with free tea and coffee was an unexpected surprise. The room was quiet, clean and cosy and the air conditioning worked very well. The bed was very comfortable and both of us had a good night's sleep. The emergency light green charge LEDs in both the bedroom and shower room gave enough light to go to the toilet in the middle of the night without having to turn on the light. Downsides: We were prepared for the room to be small but the limited space on one side of the bed made it very difficult to get out on that side. There is only a light switch on one side of the double bed, Overall: We were very satisfied - especially the helpful staff - and would stay here again if we had to stay at Heathrow for T3."

"This is the second year in a row that we have stayed at this property and we will return if we are in London again. We tend to stay downtown for the ambiance and history-then move here for the night before heading back to the US. We are usually not interested in Indian food, so we just eat at the Sky Bar if we need a quick meal."
