This is my idea of a very basic needs hotel, but perfect for a short stay at a very reasonable cost. Free coffee/tea in the lobby from 7: to 23:00. Only a 5 minute walk to Ikebukuro Station West entrance. Would definitely stay here again.

Lobby and resting area is new and lot space. Free filter drinkable water and coffee machine for guests. That’s so good. However, our room quite small for 2 adults even we booked a room with little kitchen. Hotel location is perfect in Ikebukuro. Overall also highly recommended:)

I stayed at Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro recently, and overall it was a great experience — especially for travelers who want comfort, convenience, and a bit more space than a typical Tokyo hotel. What I Loved • Amazing Location Right in the heart of Ikebukuro, super close to restaurants, convenience stores, nightlife, and the station. You can get anywhere in Tokyo easily, and the area feels safe even late at night. • Washer/Dryer in the Room A HUGE plus. Being able to do laundry inside my room saved me a ton of time. (Although the machine panel is all in Japanese took a little learning curve. But once you figure it out, it’s super convenient.) • Clean & Modern Rooms The room was spotless, quiet, and surprisingly roomy for Tokyo. The bed was comfortable, and housekeeping was reliable. • Good Amenities Microwave, mini fridge, air purifier, and a well-designed bathroom. The fog-free mirror in the bathroom was a nice surprise, something Japan does way better than most hotels. Things That Could Be Improved • Laundry Machine Instructions If you don’t speak Japanese, the washer/dryer can be confusing at first. A small guide with select languages in the room would help a lot. Overall Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro is a fantastic base for visiting Tokyo — clean, comfortable, and extremely practical.
