"Umbral Hilton provided comfortable, high-quality accommodations. The area is safe for international travellers with key landmarks such as The Zocalo, Bellas Artes, and The Cathedral within a couple of blocks. Meet-up options for tours are also close by, although it often made more sense to walk a few blocks to grab our Uber because traffic is slow. No big deal, but wearing comfortable shoes is a must.
Food options are plentiful, readily available, and steps away: 24-hr Taqueria Los Cocuyos (visited by Anthony Bourdain), Azulisimo (unmatchable high-end traditional), Terraza Gran Hotel (Zocalo view)...and we had Tim Horton's coffee next door, as well as excellent restaurants with natural juices and many options both at the base of the hotel and on the top floor. We also used the room service, and it was excellent. My husband liked the burger and I loved the quesadillas made with hand-made coloured corn tortillas. The blended margaritas by the pool are delicious.
The bed and linen were comfortable and of high quality, and our room was very spacious. Overall, a great stay! Fully recommend it.
