However, since there are no buildings next door, the signs for entering can be somewhat hard to read, and if you try to enter through the main entrance, it is relatively far from the station, so I felt that the access to the hotel was not as good as it was described."

"Online pics showed a room with a desk but mine had only a bench and small low table. I asked the front desk staff to help with making a reservation and they refused and instead wanted me to use a QR code for a reservation service that did not have the restaurant listed. They just stared at me blankly."

"The location was very convenient & in a quiet area. Just around a 10 minute walk from Otaru Eki. A 5 minute walk to the canal. There's a Family Mart across the street from the hotel. There was also a cute little shop selling mochi and manju nearby. I loved how the hotel was in a historic building. The bathroom was spacious & modern. Comfortable bed. Staff was friendly & very helpful. Would definitely stay there again."
