"The first thing you should know is that this is not a hotel. It's an apartment with two flats, one on the second floor and one on the third floor, above a storefront about half way between the Ueno and Asakusa stations. "This hotel was the perfect place for our stay. The room was clean with a very spacious bathroom. There were normal and blackout curtains (for those who need total darkness to sleep). Cleaning staff would always make our bed and took out the trash when needed. Hotel staff were very friendly when we first arrived and helped us check in. We also tried the AYCE breakfast and it was definitely worth it. There was a great variety of American and Japanese breakfast. The baked goods area was the highlight as the croissants and breads were still so soft. There is also a bread toaster with various fruit jams. Overall, I would definitely stay here again for the easy access to shinjuku station and night life. "

"We booked this hotel for our last night in Japan after a two week trip. I thought this was going to be a luxury hotel based on the price and photos. I was wrong. The lobby is nice and the staff are attentive, but the room left a lot to be desired. It was like stepping back in time to 1995. The room was spacious, which was nice, but for the price I was expecting a more modern look and feel. It was clean enough, but everything was just old. The beds were also on the hard side. Overall, it was fine, it served its purpose, but was not worth the price tag. "
