"Albert and his team did a great job hosting me for 2 nights ! Hotel is efficient but also very laid back . It’s an old mansion and some of the public areas do not have AC . Anywhere you would like to me had AC and was comfortable ! Free non- alcoholic drinks and snacks available . Breakfast prepared to order eggs were great ! Lap pool is good location to chill out after a busy day ! Looking forward to returning ! Check my postings I don’t give many 5 star ratings "
"Incredibly unique property that used to be an old herb shop now tastefully refurbished into a boutique hotel. They kept all the old stuff from years past on display, and while it had modern amenities it still maintained that old charm. Highly recommend!"
"Staff are helpful and friendly and close to the attraction. Lots of restaurant is nearby.
Something can be improved, the WIFI some sometimes is not working when in the room and no USB plugin on the bedside.
The experience is excellent and the breakfast at the restaurant is delicious

"Amazing comfortable room. Love the goodies in the fridge, treats & nespresso in room. Staff was amazing & super friendly. This place was so great that I did not want to leave!"
"We loved our stay at this hotel. Very walkable area, restaurants and bars are very close.
Loved the rooftop bar across the road.
Staff were super friendly and helpful, and the pool was lovely and refreshing. Such a historical, classic hotel."
"What a beautiful property and experience. The reception desk particularly Sufian were incredibly helpful giving us recommendations to eat and see. The room was amazing and facilities were great. However what let this hotel down was the neighbouring clubs that played loud music till 1am and till 3am in the weekend. I hope the local government will help the local hotels as these 2 clubs impact all the hotels in the vicinity not just Muntri Grove. "
"The hotel is gorgeous and located right on the water in walking distance of all Georgetown attractions. It is a grand hotel in every sense - luxurious, comfortable and with a wonderful staff. A great place to stay in Penang. "
"This hotel is in the best location for exploring the old city of George Town. Close to lots of restaurants and sites.
The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. "
"Lovely quiet guesthouse in heritage building. Inside the UNESCO zone, steps to all of the major food spots and historic landmarks. Friendly staff and very clean!"
"Really beautiful building that's been restored with plenty of character. The location is excellent. The staff and the manager, Aitee, made us- my wife and two young children- very welcome and was fantastic.
Really recommend this hotel. "

"Outstanding service, location and pool. No buildings blocking the pool so you get sunshine and a beautiful view. Luxurious room: carpet, separate tap for drinking water, mini fridge with drinks included and replenished daily. I highly recommended this hotel. Fahmi and Sunil were always in the lobby to help and welcome us."
"We enjoyed our stay here!
We were able to check in early, provided with a welcoming gift, and throughout our stay all staff were accommodating.
Our room was very spacious for 3 adults and had many toiletries. The bedding was quite comfortable.
Continental breakfast buffet was quite limited for western food expect more Asian cuisine. Alwi always had a smile and was very helpful during breakfast time. "
