"Although I am an elite member at a global hotel chain, I always stay at Carlton City when I am in Singapore. It's clean, well maintained, and the staff is fantastic. It's the same great group of people every time I am in town. It's right next to the Tanjon Pagar MRT station and across the street from a grocery and laundry. It's a 7 min walk to the Maxwell and China Town Hawker centers and the free parking is great if you have local guests. I don't usually do breakfast in the hotel as I prefer local, hawker center breakfast, but the restaurant and pool are also very nice. The rooms are well equipped and I've never needed for anything. Overall, I think it's the best, easiest place to stay in town. "

"Amazing staff,ambiance,location,room etc. Highly recommend paying extra to stay in the pacific room. This gives access to the club room which includes breakfast, all day nibbles, 2hours of drinks ( the lime margaritas are outstanding ) as is the champagne, food , 2 items of clothing per person per day laundered and pressed, etc. The extras pay for the extra cost of the room and you get the luxury that accompanies it."

"This is my third stay on this property. The location is great, right in front of terminal 3. The room I got was on level 6. To be honest, the insulation in this room was not as good as other rooms in my previous stay; as I could still hear the plane engine roaring throughout the night. But it did not bother me as I was too tired and slept well. The concierge staff was very friendly. The self check out machine deducted money again for my stay, ended up in double payment. But they refunded it at the end. Highly recommended."
