"Excellent ryokan to stay and enjoy private onsen bath. The ryokan is super clean, neat and tidy. Dinner and breakfast meals were excellent and delicious. Staffs are super friendly. "This was our first visit to beppu and first stay at this location. At first glance it looks older, but the staff met us halfway as we walked from the bus stop. This was the only hotel that did that and highlighted the start of a great stay with great service. They took us all the way to the front desk and provided us great service to the room. We chose a private open air Onsen and traditional setting, which they fixed our rooms each day. We could see the ocean on one side and mountain (for fire festival) on the other. Great location to everything and would definitely stay again. "
