Excellent amenities. Great options for breakfast. Tourists friendly. Small bathroom/bedroom so maybe not for those who are tall and large. very clean. One thing I didn’t like was the keycard system to turn on/off the light - it was inconvenient if you just need a small light. Overall everything was fantastic and I would definitely choose to stay here again!

The breakfast area was a tad claustrophobic and the food a little mediocre. But the new hotel conversion has made the most of the building and it’s safe and very convenient. The staff are excellent - polite and efficient.

Location, Location, Location! 900feet from Paddington Station. Love the AC! Keeps the room comfortable and quiet. Nicely updated rooms. Rooms are smaller. This makes getting around a bit tight. The staff is genuinely interested and attentive to your questions and needs.

The staff were mostly friendly once you get to know them. The room was small but cosy. The food was good but unable to get the milk hot for a coffee as used special milk not in there machine.

The property was convenient (being close to Paddington station), reasonably priced (for London) and newly renovated. One shortcoming was that there was a strip of bright white LED lights above the bed in the room that couldn't be turned off at night. When I called the person at reception they said this was a security feature in all rooms and couldn't be turned off. They were so bright it made it almost impossible to sleep.

Hotel bien situé pour visiter, chambre propre. Cependant, de nombreux points négatifs : - nous avons eu une chambre en sous-sol, toute petite et sans fenêtre et après multiples vérifications, cela n’était mentionnée nul part lors de notre réservation. L’impression d’étouffer parfois malgré le purificateur d’air, très bruyant mais ducoup impossible à laisser la nuit. - notre chambre était très bruyante : sous-sol = bruit et vibrations du métro, personnel parfois peu discret (chambre située à côté d’une réserve pour le personnel), mauvaise insonorisation des murs… - Petit déjeuner assez restreint en terme de choix. On ne s’est pas sentis bien dans cette chambre. Nous ne considérons donc pas qu’elle valait le prix important que nous avons payé pour 4 nuits.

It’s an awful experience to stay. The isolation fan in the toilet didn’t work. We asked the staff to fix but they said nothing could be done at the weekend. On Monday, still no one came to fix it. The walls were so thin that we could hear water running in the pipes and the sewage, even the air conditioner was making some sound of water dripping. There’re always flies in the room even you drove them out. They kept coming in. There must be a ‘fly door’ somewhere. One night at 5 am, the smoke detector siren went off for a minute. We asked for a change of the room but the staff said the type of room wasn’t available and they couldn’t upgrade our room. That meant we could just accept downgraded services without even an apology.

The Grand Concerto Hotel (formerly Castleton Hotel per my credit card) has improved from what looked like a nightmare online. Great location near Paddington Station - perfect for travel and good value for the price. It looks really nice inside too - but the rooms are small so keep that in mind. The customer service, however, was seriously lacking. When I needed laundry info, staff said they don't offer it and claimed not to know any nearby places (Central Wash and Lilas are walking distance per Google). Worse was at 3 AM departure when my phone internet wasn't working (there was no trains running at this time, no taxis outside either) - not their fault, but I asked for a taxi number. They refused to help, saying "they don't do this." A staff member was watching videos on a laptop but wouldn't look up a taxi company. Most hotels would at least give you a phone number or call one for you. Had to walk to Paddington at 3 AM where security actually helped me. Nearly missed my flight. And again it is not their problem, but as a traveler this was something I never experienced at any accommodation. Staff handled basic requests like toilet paper fine but showed zero problem-solving skills for actual travel needs. The buffet was okay too, but there is also a good place called Mimo's across the street. Bottom line: Excellent location and price, but don't expect help beyond the absolute basics. Have backup plans ready and if you encounter a problem, try and solve it on your own.

Et koselig hotell som ligger sentralt og nær tube. Rommene er ganske små og trange, men på en feriereise så brukes rommet kun til å sove å stelle seg så det er overkommelig. Frokosten er inne i en koselig hule, men utvalget var lite men det var godt.
