"A beautiful property with first-class amenities, especially the in-room onsen with the view of the winding creek and colorful mountains. The food served in both breakfast and dinner are fresh, delicious, with various flavors, and artistically presented. It is a bit more expensive than another two similar type of resorts we stayed, but entirely justifiable. The only aspect this resort falls behind is the effectiveness of communication in English of its staff, especially, some work in front-desk."

"Loved this place! Rooms are amazing and the photos don’t do it justice. We had breakfast and dinner included and it was next level. Very traditional Japanese menu and so luxe! Staff were so friendly and accommodating as we had our 4 month old with us. The three onsens to choose from makes this place a must try!"

"We picked it on recommendation specifically having a private in room onsen tub out doors. The room really nice, but it was everything else they do that made experience amazing. The staff, to the last person, made us feel welcome with kindness, competence and a thought out experience that never allowed us a moment of not being cared for. There are beautiful places to relax from the moment you arrive. No extra fees while sitting around- tea, coffee, other drinks available, and snacks in different environments. We relaxed everywhere! All arrangements were made for meals, scheduling everything without having to take time or distraction. Just so thoughtfully planned. Again, the property was wonderful, but the people made the experience."

"Food was very good and staff was so friendly. I stayed Suizantei after this hotel and the staff arranged transport without me asking. I got to stay in the room after check out time. I loved the room and all the snacks they provided in between meals. I even used the book library area to read some books. Highly recommend!"

"This hotel would have been very grand in her day, but is showing her age. The rooms are huge, but room amenities sparse and towels and yukata are old. It’s primarily used for large groups to use the onsen I think, rather than a luxurious stay. The breakfast dining room is large, as is the hotel, but having breakfast with another 200 or 300 people wasn’t all that pleasant. The rooms have no USB charging ports, and power outlets are few and low to the ground. The view from the hotel is beautiful and amazing and the 16th floor onsen also has beautiful views. For a 2 night stay it was adequate and the price was good."
