"One night at the Capella between two photography tours, and it has set a new benchmark for what a hotel can be. Booked a Premier Room, upgraded unprompted to a Studio Grand Suite with a separate living and dining areas, marble bathroom with freestanding tub, Bamford amenities, a handwritten welcome card from the GM, and hand-painted wooden tortoises as a turndown gift. None of it felt like a script. The design is the property's real achievement: a new build executing a confident 1920s French-Vietnamese deco vocabulary, every detail considered down to the bakelite phone in the ensuite. Two throwaway comments I made on arrival were quietly referenced by multiple staff that evening. Anticipatory personalisation usually associated with Ritz-Carlton, executed here with more restraint. Dinner at Backstage was outstanding. I'll be back."

"Our stay here in Hanoi was absolutely incredible. Everything exceeded our expectations, especially considering the cost. The value for what you receive is unbelievable. The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable, and extremely well maintained, but what truly made the experience special was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on making our stay as great as possible. The hotel restaurant was excellent, and the breakfast each morning was phenomenal with plenty of delicious options. It became something we looked forward to every day. A special thank you to Tracy from the concierge service, who was unbelievably helpful. She completely handled booking our day trip for us from start to finish. All we had to do was pay, and everything else was organized perfectly. It made exploring Hanoi so easy and stress-free, and it was such a valuable service offered by the hotel. The location is also fantastic. You can walk to so many attractions, it’s very close to the lake, and there are countless places nearby to eat, grab coffee, or pick up snacks. Honestly, I cannot think of a single negative thing to say about this experience. It was absolutely amazing, and I would stay here again without hesitation."

"Our stay here was fabulous. We enjoyed the terrace suite with the Jacuzzi on the deck. The breakfast buffet was delicious, the ladies at the spa were wonderful. The people at the front desk were so helpful and kind. Happy made sure that we had everything we needed and had good recommendations for what we were looking for in the neighborhood. The only thing I would mention is that if you are a light sleeper, staying in a room with an outside deck may not be quiet enough. But that is true for a lot of properties in the Old Quarter. It’s really really busy there so it’s also never really quiet. We were fine, slept amazing. However, something to consider if that’s an issue for yourself. Thank you for our wonderful day. We would definitely come back."

"Fantastic hotel centrally located in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Clean, new premises with a rooftop pool and bar. The staff are all welcoming and extremely helpful making sure your stay is comfortable and you have everything you need. The breakfast is great with a delicious selection of foods, including cooked to order eggs and crepes! I without a doubt recommend staying here for your trip to Hanoi."

"The staff were all very helpful the location to Old Town is outstanding walking distance to the lake it is simply one of the best location I have stayed in in Hanoi. Although on a busy Rd there is little noise. A little touch up of paint here and there would not go astray. The bar staff upstairs at the rooftop bar were extremely friendly and the drinks presented good value for money."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was spotless and exceptionally clean throughout our visit, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always happy to help with anything we needed. The restaurants were excellent, offering great food and a lovely atmosphere, and the à la carte breakfast was a real highlight each morning. Our room was exceptional — beautifully presented, spacious, and very comfortable with great attention to detail. Overall, a fantastic experience and we would definitely return. Highly recommended!"

"Absolutely loved my time here. The staff were so warm and friendly. I had an idea of what I wanted to do and see while in the city and the staff were so kind to recommend things I might enjoy or what I could do to make the most of my time in Hanoi. The room was comfortable and clean. On days when we didn’t request room cleaning the staff still made sure to provide us with water and fresh towels outside our room. The breakfast was fantastic and provided a variety of options. I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Hanoi. Great location and friendly staff."

"The room is clean everyday and staff were considerate as to when it will be done. The staff were all attentive, polite and very helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast as it covers Asian and Western food especially that you can request for other food such as pho, scrambled or sunny side up eggs. The air conditioning is great especially when you’re out for a trip. My sister and I tried their massage spa and it’s very good as well. The airport shuttle is also very good. Overall, amazing experience. "
