"Great service "

"Stayed in a superior twin room on the 5th floor, which was clean and comfortable, with a walk-in shower (important because I have mobility issues). It was on the small side but not cramped. The decor seemed to be fairly new and in good shape, of a dark gray neutral sort. Staff on check-in were friendly, quick and helpful. It's a massive hotel that takes huge tour groups, so there were several hordes clumped together in the lobby and in the street area outside; there is also no visible place to sit and relax in the lobby, which is designed to get a lot of people through check-in quickly. I was so glad to find there was express checkout! There are several restaurants in the hotel which I didn't try, and lots of restaurants in the immediate area. Very close to everything in Bloomsbury. There was street noise at night but nothing extreme. "

"Everything about our stay was perfect. The room was very clean, bed extremely comfortable. What stood out most was the efficiency and friendliness of the staff. Particularly friendly and efficient was Karen in the restaurant. She was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We went to breakfast and 2 of our party had special dietary requirements. Karen went out of her way to answer any questions we had and was very knowledgeable. We will definitely return."

"Southgate Hotel is near enough my 2nd home now...! Always a pleasant stay, the rooms of a good standard, clean and the staff always welcoming. Would not stay anywhere else."

"Really good experience from start to finish. Gary on reception couldn't have been more helpful during check-in, the room appeared to be newly refurbished and was spotless, good choice at breakfast, ideal location with a 1 minute walk to the tube station. Would recommend"
