We stayed an extra night and you could not get into your room without paying the tax which was very annoying as it was 2am in the morning when i needed to get in my room and my purse was in my room!! Given i had booked 5 people in i thought was poor service not to take it on trust that i would pay in the morning before checking out."

The Adelphi came up on searches based on location because we were going to see Marillion at the Philharmonic Hall. We were also intrigued to stay at the Adelphi because my late father stayed there many times in the 1980s with work. The building is stunning inside and out and a joy to stay in. The staff are friendly, helpful and happy. We had a great night in a beautiful room with a lovely buffet breakfast. So much food and choice and plenty of seating for quieter zone people too. Very reasonable priced stay for a Liverpool city stay. Well done Adelphi and staff."
