We are overwhelmingly positive, because of its scenic riverside location on the River Dee, delicious food, and friendly staff. We would highlight the relaxed atmosphere, good-value food, and the recent refurbishment of the pub and restaurant, which includes features like a floating beer garden and well-maintained rooms.

The room was beautifully clean and modern, and had everything we needed. The room was a cosy or comfort room (5) perfectly big enough. The hotel is right on the river and only 10 min from town centre. Hotel breakfast was delicious and varied...good selection. Had an evening meal here, food was really good and reasonably priced. Hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas too. Staff were very attentive and polite and very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Hats off to Dean and the rest of the staff for making our stay so wonderful.

Spotless bar, restaurant and room, with very friendly and helpful staff, plus great views of the river and quiet location within a short walk into the centre of Chester. The walk into Chester may not be suitable for some people however as it is quite a steep walk from the river, but there are nice walks along the river.
